~Toshinori Bakugou POV~
"Are you sure it's okay that Ura stays in here while we patrol?" I recognize the voice of my parent's friend, Mrs. Kirishima, as she holds her daughter in her arms as she talks to momma.
"Don't worry Ochaco. She'll be in here with the triplets. The twins are sleeping on the couch, but she'll have plenty to do. We better go. Katsuki has a meeting with the board about a case at 7 and I have to be back to watch the kids." Momma says and I wave and she turns towards me.
"Stay safe momma!" I say with a small smile and she smiles with a wave as she signs a thanks.
"Make sure to behave Ura." Mrs. Kirishima says sternly as she lets the girl who looks around my age down.
"Of course mommy! I get to make new friends!" The girl, Ura, says with a smile, making me get a weird feeling in my stomach, before she rushes over to my brother and sister.
No one ever notices me. No one wants to talk to the deaf kid. I think with a sad and angry huff as my tail flicks in annoyance as I grab my book before going into the land of stories and being with my only friends.~Ura Kirishima POV~
I walk over with an excited smile to the boy with ash blond and (f/c) tipped hair with orange almost red wings, tail, and scales and the girl with black with ash blonde streaks through her hair with white wings, tail, and scales.
"Hi! I'm Ura Kirishima! It's nice to meet you!" I say happily and they look at me suspiciously before glancing at each other and snickering.
"You're weird." The girl states and my smile drops into a frown.
"Go spend time with Toshinori. He's weird too. You'll get along, heh. Come on, Koimih let's get back to our flying practice." The boy says to "Koimih" before we walks over and climbs on the couch.
Who's Toshinori? I think in confusion before I look around the room more carefully spotting two sleeping kids (don't need to wake them up) on the couch and another kid with spiky black hair and bright red eyes with orange wings, tail, and scales and then notice weird things in his ears. Maybe he'll talk to me even though he's listening to music. I think hopefully as I walk over.
"Hello?" I say, more of question, as I give a small wave to get his attention.
He lowers his book before giving me a curious look before patting the side beside him as he moves over a little.
"What're you reading?" I ask after I crawl beside him. I watch as he closes the book slightly before showing me the cover. "A Dragon's Treasures." I read and he nods with a smile. "So your name's Toshinori?" I ask, getting a nod in reply, making me frown slightly.
"Do you not like talking? Or are you too shy around a girl?" I say teasingly and he glares at me before:
"I not scare of girls!" He says angrily in a slightly breaking and squeaky voice before he covers his mouth and looks away embarrassed. He sulks and walks back over to the couch, grabs his book, and then goes and curls up with his wings and tail wrapped around himself on a beanbag.
Oh...he's deaf. Those must be hearing aids. I remember dad saying that his friend had to have those because his quirk made him not be able to hear. I think feeling guilty for teasing him.
"I'm sorry that I pushed you." I say as I walk around to where he'll see me, making him roll over.
"Go way." He squeaks and I huff.
"You don't have to be embarrassed about how you sound." I say and move to see his face and stop him from rolling over by gently placing my hand on his wing, making him look at me slightly confused. "I think you sound very cute!" I say with a smile and his face goes slightly pink on his cheeks before he moves his eyes away.
"Sit." He says and pats the spot beside him as he unfurls his wings from around himself.
I smile excitedly before I giggle and lay beside him. "Want me to read?" I ask and he thinks it over before he nods and slides over the book.
"A dragon will always find his treasure and once they do will never want to let it go..."~(Y/n) POV~
"That was a little tiring." I say with a slightly tired laugh as me and Ochaco return from our patrol.
"Mommy! Auntie (Y/n)!" Little Ura says as she quickly rushes out into the hall before we can go inside the break room where the rest of the kids are.
"Hi there Ura!" I say with a smile as I crouch down and slightly ruffle her black bob of hair.
"Teach me sign language!" She burst and I look at her a little surprised. "I wanna be able to sign to Toshinori so we can become best friends!" She says and my heart melts at her statement.
"How about we do something else?" I say and her smile falls a little. "I teach you one thing to sign and then after you ask him to teach you so he'll have more reason to spend time with you? Hey, and maybe you can help him with speaking more too?" I say and she gasps excitedly.
"What are you going to teach me?!" She asks with shining brown eyes.
"'Can we be friends?'" I say and her eyes, if possible, grow more excited.
"Perfect!" She exclaims before I spend the next few minutes teaching her how to do it.
"Wow, you're a fast learner, Ura!" I praise her and she nods with a smile.
"Wish me luck!" She says before she goes back inside the break room.
