In my heart is a Christmas tree farm

December 25, 1991...

CHRISTMAS arrived agonizingly slow, and a lot happened in the past four months.

Her parents haven't contacted her since the day Lucius kicked her out of the Malfoy Manor. She still can't believe it, she still can't believe that she was kicked out of her house.

It wasn't her home, no. She's felt more at home at Hogwarts in four months than she's ever felt at the Malfoy Manor.

She's gotten a lot closer to Hermione, Ron, and Harry.

Merlin, Harry; he can be a git but a gentleman in the same minute.

Y/n loves studying with Hermione, and how she doesn't get impatient with her when she asks Hermione a question. She loves Hermione's sense of humor, but sometimes she can be a party pooper.
Y/n is determined to get Hermione out of her shell of responsibility and strict rule-following by the end of the year.

Ron and Y/n always talk about their love for quidditch, their love for food; they could be brother and sister rather than Draco and Y/n.

Draco, fortunately, has still been talking to Y/n. It surprised her, but she's happy that her brother isn't a complete git when it comes to her.

Even with the acid of his annoyance flowing through her veins, she loves her brother; using one of her best colors for his portrait.

Since Halloween, the day that the quartet battled a troll in the restroom, she hasn't slept in her private dorm; she's been sleeping in the girl's Gryffindor dormitories.

She dramatically outstretches her arms and legs before getting out of bed, quickly running out of the empty dorm — Hermione left to her parents for winter break, but Ron and Harry were the only Gryffindors that stayed.

Peering down at the two boys opening presents under her, she smiles. "Y/n!" Ron exclaims when his eyes meet hers. "Look!" Grinning happily, he holds up a basket of maybe thirty chocolate frogs.

"Oh brilliant." She chuckles, before looking at Harry. "What's that?" She questions, pointing at the folded cloak on the chair besides where Harry is seated on the floor.

Harry looks at the cloak, then at the girl above him, grinning at her appearance. "Invisibility cloak, wanna try it out?"

"Har, it's not April fools-"
