MUCH had happened within the last two months regarding the Chamber.

For example, Harry has been obsessing over a diary he and Ron found in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. On the bottom of the leather cover of the diary was the name "T. M. Riddle."

Naturally, Harry assumed it was the owner of the diary. Y/n felt as though she knew that name, like something in the back of her brain that she could not reach. Perhaps she had read something like the name in a book.

There was a trophy that this 'Riddle' had won for special services to the school about fifty years ago. There was a day when Hermione and Y/n went to see the trophy, and also see if there was any other trophy with his name.

That was when Y/n and Hermione figured out that fifty years ago was the last time the Chamber had opened. They concluded there was a possibility that Riddle could've been the one who figured out who was behind it last year. Unfortunately, that's where their brains stopped since there wasn't much to go on after that.

"A fresh pickled toad? Who in the world thinks of that?" Harry said, utterly annoyed.

Harry was having a terrible Valentine's Day. From having a dwarf rip apart his school bag and getting ink all over his journals, having the dwarf sing aloud a poem someone sent him for Valentine's Day, and now he had to skip Potions to replace his school bag.

Y/n offered to skip Potions with Harry to replace his bag and let him copy down some notes from Y/n's journal to his new ones.

"It's not terrible — she could've said worse." Y/n sighed.

"Well, I appreciate the...er- admiration, but I would rather have not had it sang in the middle of the corridor-"

"Merlin, would you shut up with the stupid love letter already?" Y/n yelled. For some reason, she was completely bothered by the fact that Harry wouldn't shut up about this stupid poem he got. The only girls Harry hung out with were Hermione and Y/n, so how would any other girl know Harry? Y/n knew Harry.

"Well, sorry," Harry mumbled.

The rest of the walk to the Gryffindor common room was quiet.

The common room was flushed with pink and red banners and balloons. If Y/n didn't know any better, she would've thought that Hermione put up all of these decorations. Hermione seemed to adore Valentine's Day, seeing it to be very romantic.

Y/n never paid much attention to Valentine's Day because she had no one or nothing special to celebrate, and she was honestly okay with that.

While Harry was quietly copying Y/n's notes onto his new journals that Y/n just gave him, Y/n was cleaning out his school bag when she noticed something odd.
