"Sheesh, that took way longer than I expected." (L/n) sighs, closing the door to the shop behind her. She exhaled through her nostrils, leaning back against it. After basically riding around in someones bra for a day, Keigo was just as exhausted. Slumping over the fabric of her top, he huffed. Getting back to normal just seemed like it was becoming more and more complicated.

He was startled by (L/n)'s finger, suddenly ruffling his hair. She couldn't help but giggle as he bitterly swiped at her finger. The way his face tinted crimson red just made him appear all the more adorable in her eyes.

"It'll be alright tiny hawks~♡ I'm sure Mei will call us back with results soon." She tried reassuring him. That purse-dog nickname adgitated him to an extent, but he chose not to gripe at her about that.

"Yeah well don't get too comfortable. We still have patrol."

She gave a chuckle, and an eyeroll "Aela--or, I mean I know. Lighten up! Aren't you usually chill?"

He scoffed. "Yeah, when I'm not being treated like a literal purse dog."

She rubs her neck sheepishly.
"Sorry about that...It's just, you're so vulnerable right now. I'm scared to even take my eyes off you. If you want some space to breath, though if you want--you can stay here while I go out for patrol!"

"Why do I get the feeling you're enjoying this alot more than you should?" He deadpanned. She just chuckles anxiously in response.

He sighs "Yeah, that's gonna have to be a no. You could get killed out there." She merely shrugs. "Oh well. It sucks that you can't fly though. What's a wing-hero without his wings? Hmm, I wonder if there's something we can do about that."

As they meander through the shop, eventually she plucks him by the shirt, placing him on what appeared to by an island counter, in the middle of the shop. He steadied himself after a few seconds of stumbling.

A small note, is taped to the register, in the far corner of the shop. (L/n) doesn't seem to take much notice, right away; directing her attention into the analog clock above the entrance.

She then flips the sign dangling behind the door around, to signify the shop was indeed closed. Eventually though she does acknowledge it. Walking past the counter, her tail swished vigorously. Just seconds before it could smack him he dodged, tripping over his own feet.

"Hey! Watch it." He griped. She pinches the note, briefly skimming it over. It definetely wasn't in Japanese, otherwise he'd probably be able to read it just fine.

"What's that about?" He decided to break the lingering silence out of boredom. She sighed, "My moms gonna be gone for a couple of days, so I guess it's just you and me." She retorted, although he could sense a little bit of sorrow, hidden behind that bittersweet smile of hers. He doesn't really press, instead his golden brown orbs scanned the room.

Eventually his gaze settled on what appeared to be an empty spot; where some kind of herb, or plant was missing. He probably wouldn't have thought anything of it if it weren't on a shelf that consisted of multiple plant arrangements. It was like a gaping hole, where something was missing.

Upon whitnessing his curiosity, she gave a lighthearted smile. "That's supposed to be Calendula. It usually gets bought up as soon as it hits the shelves. It's a kind of herb that shrinks acne."

His curiosity was definetely peaked now. If this didn't scream suspicious, he had no clue what did.

"When does your mom usually dissapear?" He didn't ask for a specific time. Mainly because he knew how difficult processing time really was for her.
