She was huddled into a corner with her legs pulled to her chest. "Adds?" A familiar voice whispered.

"Tom?" She stood to her feet, legs shaking slightly. A teenage boy came close to her and stood with one hand tightly on her forearm. His face held a soft expression as his brown eyes welled with tears.

"You shouldn't be here." She croaked.

"I needed to say goodbye." He hugged her tightly. But the moment didn't last long as she had fallen through his arms and now stood at the end of a table with a grape in one hand. She squinted her eyes toward the glass of water on the other end.

"Bet you can't do it princess." It was a different, much younger, boy who spoke from next to her. Like most of the people, his face was blurry. But she didn't need to see the dark haired boy's face to know he was smirking. She punched him playfully in response.

Then she turned around to face the cup again only to find that she wasn't in the cafeteria anymore. She was strapped to a bed, staring up at a girl with striking blue eyes.

"I'm sorry Adds. Please don't forget us." The girl voice whispered, and she felt the familiar shape of her book being slipped into her pocket.

Her heart rate increased with every flicker that had come from the now moving ceiling. And then it stopped. The lights turned into the burning sun for a split second. And then for a moment, her heart stopped at the sight of a long needle that had been extracting a purple liquid from a glass jar.

A woman in white with a slender face and neat hair broke her gaze, "Addison, it is important that you cooperate. With your help, we can cure the world. Wicked is good"

Her eyes shot open in response to the pulse behind her skull. She tried to tell herself it wasn't real to calm herself down. But she knew it had been real. It was another dream filled with chopped up memories that never made any sense. She's had them every once in a while ever since she had first arrived in the glen about a year ago.

She squeezed her eyes shut and spelled her name, Addison, over and over again under her breath. She had often needed her mantra after, what she considered, nightmares. Most of the time she would easily discover that she would rather not remember anything. Addy wished she was like the other girls, kept safe in the pure bliss that is ignorance. The girls didn't know of course. In the beginning she was afraid of what it had meant- to be different- so she decided it was better to not say anything. After a while, she decided to stick with it in order to not rub it in. Besides, she had never picked at her brain too much considering there wasn't much to go off of. In that way, she was just like the rest. Orphaned by loss of memory and who's family became the girls who came up in the box.

Once she had finally forced her breaths to a more even rhythm, her rapidly beating heart slowed. After a few moments, she let herself slump back into her cot and stared at the canopy above her. The sun had still yet to rise, so the trees blended into the sky. She didn't mind sleeping outside, unlike most of the girls. It just meant there was one less thing that caged her in.
