Chapter Two

Jin pulled up to the address he was given and cursed himself for being late. He had not anticipated the traffic he got caught up in after leaving working. Most certainly, he did not expect the address to be off the grid.

Stepping out his car, he looked up at the house before him, "wow, people live like this?" he muttered to himself and began walking towards the front door's direction, per the instruction he received in the email after confirming his availability for an interview.

Standing in front of the door, Jin flattens out his clothes and ring the doorbell, glancing at the time on his phone, he pouts, he was more than ten minutes late, something that was not the norm for him. He was generally a very punctual person; he was rarely late to an appointment or even worked. The only time he was late was for events that held no importance and didn't require him to be on time.

When the door opens unexpectedly, Jin almost dropped the folder he was holding onto. He quickly tries to compose himself but found it very hard to do with the man standing before him.

"Are you Kim Seokjin?" Jungkook questioned, a bit annoyed as he took in the man standing by his front door.

Jin straightened his posture and smiled, "I am, and are you Mr. Lee Jisung?" he inquired, extending his hand out.

Taking his hand, Jungkook shook firmly and invited him into his home, "I am not Lee Jisung. My name is actually Jeon Jungkook."

Jin took a step back upon hearing that, "Oh, okay, is Mr. Lee Jisung here?"

"No, there is no one here by that name. I had my assistant give that name to maintain confidentiality while doing this search. If you don't have any further questions regarding this matter, please follow me to begin the interview. I think enough delay has occurred as it is." Jungkook turned and walked towards his home office on the main floor, leaving Seokjin to follow him.

"Handsome, but rude," Jin murmured to himself as he followed behind Jungkook. His eyes roamed around the walls of the hallway. He was well impressed by the artwork and decor he had seen thus far. There was no denying that this family had a lot of money and expensive taste.

Standing by his office door, Jungkook holds it open for Jin to enter, acknowledging the soft, yet polite thank you, Jin utters as he enters the office. Closing the door, he instructs Jin to take a seat.

"I am want to sincerely apologize for being late."

"What's done is done. Did you bring with you the requested documents?" Jungkook questioned while taking his seat across from Jin.

Jin nods his head and hands over the portfolio in his hand, then into his bag for his ID, handing it over to Jungkook.

There was a long moment of silence as Jungkook took his time flipping through Jin's portfolio. While he was doing that, Jin observed all the awards in the room with Jungkook's name along with some side glances at Jungkook and how meticulous he seemed while examining his portfolio. It left him feeling a bit nervous to have what he had put together reviewed so thoroughly.

As Jungkook continued reading through his portfolio, Jin couldn't stop himself from looking at him. His eyes wander down to his ring finger, which he surprisingly found empty, but then thought maybe he was one of those types that didn't believe in wearing a wedding ring.

"Do you do a lot of these lesson plans currently, or was this only during your time working at Itaewon Elementary?" Jungkook questioned, lifting and turning the portfolio to Jin so he could see the page in reference to his question.

Jungkook sudden question caught Jin off guard. Lifting his head to look at him, he cleared his throat. "I still incorporate those lesson plans into my current role, but if you look at what I do now, you will see I have advanced many of my teaching techniques. However, it changes from time to time, depending on the student I am dealing with, as they all learn differently, and their interest varies."
