I have a week-long break for Thanksgiving this week so hopefully I can write a lot

Staying true to his words, Hoseok patiently waited for Yoongi in the lobby outside of his psychologist's office.

The brunet was a nervous wreck— his sweaty hands fidgeting, his right leg bouncing, and his teeth gnawing his bottom lip. It would be his first time seeing the older male in person after their break up a little over a month ago.

Though it was a little weird that Yoongi hadn't finished his appointment yet.

He's usually done by three... Hoseok thought, pulling his phone out of his pocket to double check the time. It was already three thirty.

The office door opened and Hoseok quickly shot up, mentally preparing himself since the last hour of pep-talk clearly didn't show much of an improvement through his confidence. He recognized the psychologist who he met a couple times in the past but there was no trace of Yoongi. The brunet scrunched his brows together, discreetly peeking in the room to check but there was still no sight of that familiar blond.

"Excuse me, ma'am." He immediately caught up with the psychologist, smiling politely behind his mask out of habit even though the woman couldn't see.

She turned around, raising her brows in surprise before bowing her head slightly since she couldn't shake his hand due to public health policies. "Oh! Correct me if I'm wrong but you're Hoseok, right? Yoongi's boyfriend?"

His heart ached at the last part but he nodded nonetheless. Yoongi must have not informed her and it was not his place to do it for the older.

"I was just wondering, did Yoongi leave earlier than usual today? Was it a short appointment or did he set an earlier time this Friday?" Hoseok questioned, hands shoved in his pockets, trying to seem calm and composed—a complete contrast to the chaos in his thoughts and heavy beating in his chest.

"Yoongi didn't show up for his appointment today." The woman informed him sadly. She probably shouldn't have been giving out any information about her clients but she was fond of the brunet who seemed to care a lot about Yoongi's mental health.

"He didn't?" She nodded.

That was most definitely not normal.

Sure, Yoongi was lazy but he was always either on time or early for any kind of appointment or meeting. It wasn't like him to miss one, especially if it was with his psychologist.

"I see. I must have missed his text." The male lied,  scratching the back of his head. "Well I'll head off now. Thank you, Ms.—" He paused, smiling sheepishly since he had forgotten her name.

"Oh, please, call me Doori." She insisted before they bid their goodbyes.
