-Patrick's P.O.V.-

My hand waved goodbye and I watched as Pete pulled out of my driveway. I walked inside and locked the door behind me. My house looked horrible because I hadn't cleaned it in a while. I started the cleaning with my living room and worked my way around the whole house except for the basement. That was basically where I put all my junk and old band memorabilia. I don't think I've ever cleaned that basement. I didn't realize how long I actually spent cleaning until I turned on the television to watch something before I went to bed. There was no good programs on so I looked at my phone and to my surprise, it was already 11pm.

I wasn't even that tired but I decided to go to bed anyways because I knew I needed the rest. For hours I tried falling asleep, but nothing was working. Around 1am, I leaned over and turned my lamp on. I got out of bed to get a glass of water and tripped over one of my guitars that I must've left on the ground. I put my hands on the floor to push myself up when my hand pressed against something freakishly cold under my bed. I grabbed it and pulled out a shiny belt buckle. I knew it had to be Pete's because I don't own any belt buckles. I placed it on my bedside table and got my glass of water. When I tried to fall asleep again, I noticed that I couldn't stop looking at the belt buckle. I also couldn't stop thinking about Pete because of it so I shoved it in my drawer and decided I'd give it to him tomorrow.

I slammed the top of my alarm clock to turn it off. I rubbed my eyes and rolled out of bed. I brushed my teeth and put on a pair of skinny jeans and an old t-shirt. I walked downstairs and called Pete while I tried to make myself breakfast. He surprisingly picked up almost immediately.

"Hey Pete!" I put my phone between my ear and shoulder so I could multitask.

"Hey Pattycakes! What's up?"

"Just making breakfast. You?"

"Well I was sleeping until my phone woke me up," he laughed.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you."

"It's fine, Patrick."

"So I was just wondering if you wanted to get some coffee with me later."

"I'd love to. Oh shit, I gotta go. Hemingway is barking at something, see you later!"

"Okay, bye."

I sighed as I walked into the coffee shop. There was a lot of people there and I didn't like being around so many strangers that would see me Patrick and me on a date, not that this was a formal date or anything. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm embarrassed that he's my boyfriend. I just don't know if either of us we ready to tell the public about it. At the back corner of the shop, I found a tiny table meant for two. I sent Patrick a text telling him which table I was at and waited for him. He showed up a few mintues later and I gave him a quick kiss before he sat down.

"Hey, sorry about being late," Patrick apologized.

"It's okay," I smiled back at him. "So why'd you ask me for coffee?"

He pulled a belt buckle out of his pocket. "I found this is in my room and I thought you might like it back."

I laughed and took the belt buckle out of his hands. "Thanks, I didn't even notice it was missing. While we're here, want to get something to drink?"

"Sure." I took his hand and we walked up to the long line together. Two teenage girls got in line behind us but I didn't pay much attention to them at the time. They kept whispering between each other and I had a feeling that they were talking about Patrick and me, but I just ignored it. Patrick started swinging our hands back and forth.

"What are you doing?" I laughed.

"I don't know. This line is super long and I'm bored."

"Yeah, this line is crazy." I turned around to see how long the line was behind us when I was blinded by the flash of a camera. When I could see again, I noticed that one of the girls behind us had her phone held up to me. I figured she must've taken Patrick and me. "Patrick, we should probably get going."

"Why? We haven't even ordered our drinks." I pulled him out of the line and dragged him toward the door. "Pete! What are you doing?" He let go of my hand and slapped me on the arm. "What was all that about?"
