Coral's P.O.V
"OMG CORAL. You have no idea how much of a big deal this is!" Kayla hit me excitedly again for the 30th time. My arm was really starting to hurt from all these excited hittings.
It was after school, and we were by my locker. I explained to her everything that was up. I was tutoring Blair Maddison every Friday starting today.
I was tutoring Blair Maddison every Friday starting today.
Wow, that even sounds good saying it aloud. It gave me the chills, even though she could be a jackass. But, why is jackass trumping cute for me right now? I must have lost it.
"It's really not that big of a deal Kay." I assured her, even though we both knew that it was.
"UGH, GURL! You know it is! When is the MOTHA FUCKIN WEDDING!" She screeched. I laughed and shook my head. Oh boy I wish. Imagine. Me and Blair. Married.
I blushed at the thought of that oh so amazing fantasy, then I felt a poke on my cheeks.
"Look who's blushing!" Kayla teased poking my cheeks. I swatted her hands away and rolled my eyes at her as I closed my locker. I had what I needed now. Breath min- I mean notebooks, notebooks, yeah, erm-
We continued our conversation and started walking to the front entrance of the school. The plan was to get some food at Bob's Burgers in Clearview. That place has the best food. Especially burgers. But, on our way out the school building, we decided to go through the gym because of Kayla. I had no idea what she was up to.
"Where are we going Kay? This is not the way to the front entrance." I informed her, tugging on her arm with her hands that were locked tightly into mines.
"To the field of course. We could cut through it and there's Bob Burgers." She smirked at me. I raised an eyebrow at her.
Oh yeah, the gym connected to the school field and so did the cafeteria. But, practice was going on. Then, realization instantly hit me when it was too late. We were outside into the field where Blair Maddison and other teammates were practicing their sports.
She looked so hot in her softball uniform. I couldn't help but stare. Kayla did this on purpose. She wanted me to see Blair. I wanted to yell at her for this but I also wanted to thank her because as we were speeding past Blair and the rest of the softball team, Kayla waved at them and they smiled and waved back at her, causing Blair and the rest of them to also look at me.
The softball team was fond of me and liked me and knew me from being Kayla's best friend along with Andrew, Jennifer, and Angela. So, they all waved and smiled at me also. They weren't laughing when I was getting milk dumped on me. They actually sent me letters to my locker, making me feel better about the whole situation.
Say, what if they reported Karla, Jessica, and Meghan? It didn't hurt to ask them, plus, Blair had already noticed me anyway.
I pulled Kayla's arm to an ultimate stop. She looked at me confused.
"Kay, you think the softball girls reported Karla, Jessica, and Meghan?" I asked her as they all were still watching us. I think they were taking a break. Kayla looked over at them and then back at me and shrugged.
"Honestly, Cora, I think so. They love you and care about you. They sent you all those letters and flowers like they did for valentines day every year and they would give you gifts and cards before winter break and gift you things on gift a friend day." She reminded me. I smiled at the thoughts and nodded slowly. I was going to miss them when I graduated. I actually finally felt welcomed here when I met them.
"Should we ask them?" I asked her carefully. She looked at me shocked.
"When did we become bold all of a sudden? Blair, your crush, is right there." She nudged me. I was nervous as soon as she said that.
"Yeah..that's why I'm hoping you'd do all the talking." I laughed nervously. She chuckled and nodded as we held hands and slowly walked over to the team. They instantly got excited.
"Hey guys." Kayla greeted them. They smiled at us.
"What's up pretties. How're you doing Cora?" Bethany asked me, they all were interested. Blair had her eyebrows raised as she took a drink of water.
"I'm not bad." I said shyly. How was I so bold with Blair but no one else from the team?
"Yeah, actually, she has a question about the milk incident. Did you guys by any chance report the whorewolves?" Kayla asked them for me. They all chuckled, including Blair, knowing what whorewolves meant. It was referring to Karla, Jessica, and Meghan, of course.
"No, we didn't report them." Vanessa admitted as she looked back at the team then at me.
"Why are we emphasizing we?" Kayla asked confused. She caught that too?
"Because only one person from our team reported it cutie." Samantha chuckled, caressing my hair and they all nodded in agreement. Things weren't adding up and I was confused.
"Huh?" I responded. They chuckled and then Blair came closer to us.
"I reported it, difficult ass." Blair smirked at me, taking a sip of her water. My mouth dropped, and I looked back at Kayla who was now trying to hold back her grin. No way ho fucking zay.
