Coral's P.O.V
30 minutes into this party, and I was a baby for the entire night. I was just sitting at the bar, watching my friends drinking, partying, having a better night than me, along with the softball team, mixed in with the other partying teenagers.
I don't know what happened to me all of a sudden. I was ready to take on the night, until I wasn't. Did I seriously need Blair to have a good time?
Speaking of Blair, where was she? I instantly felt bad about leaving her behind and ditching her to go look for my friends earlier. I decided to look to my friends and motion to them that I was going to go look for Blair. They nodded and got the message and then I started on my way to look for her.
I scoured through the crowd of crazy, drunk, and high teenagers. I was looking all over for her and I couldn't find her. There were so many people and the house was bigger than Jupiter. There was no way I was going to find her on my own.
I let out a sigh of frustration as I started asking people if they've seen her and constant no's were slapped in my face. Then, I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and it was Hannah from student council, class board, and chess club. I smiled when I saw her. She was a party goer, so I wasn't surprised that she was at this party.
"Omg Cora! You never fail to amaze me with how sexy you are! I LOVE this dress on you!" She exclaimed over the loud music, scanning my entire body as she was drinking and dancing.
"Thank you Hannah! I'm glad to see your having a great time!" I yelled back. She smiled and nodded then bumped her hips with mine.
"Yeah, I'm surprised to see your here misses parties can be dangerous and you can get lost easily so I'm never going to one." Hannah teased me as she recounted something I had said when I was invited to a party the previous year.
"Yeah, I guess I've changed." I laughed nervously. She nodded and continued drinking.
"That's good! Change is hot! Hey, I heard you were looking for Blair?" She asked loudly. I almost did a face palm. Does everyone know that I'm looking for her?
"Yeah, I am. Have you seen her?" I asked loudly. She nodded, taking another drink from her cup.
"Oh yeah! Simon saw her upstairs in the hallway!" She shouted. I nodded and thanked her then went upstairs immediately. What was she doing upstairs? Isn't she worried about where I am? My stomach started to form knots. I had that nervous feeling again.
As I finally made it up the stairs, and started walking through the halls of teens making out, I stopped dead in my tracks. My heart sunk. My mind immediately went blank and my stomach? You don't even want to know. I was heart broken.
A really pretty girl and another really pretty girl were in the hallway making out with each other. Realizing one of the girls was Blair making out with the girl and was enjoying it. I almost gasped. My hands started shaking. This has to be some kind of fucked up nightmare.
Did today mean nothing to her? Did I mean nothing to her? Ugh, how could I even think Blair would want someone like me even for a second. I wasn't her type. I didn't fit into what she looked for in a girl.
I was the shy loser everyone found easy to pick on. She probably just started talking to me and helping me because she felt sorry for me. If she means everything she says like she said, that means she meant what she said that day that I shouldn't take it personal. She was right. I should have never took any of what she did personal.
I was relieved when they didn't notice me so I took that opportunity to run back downstairs before the tears started leaking from my eyes. I was done with tonight. I started heading towards the front door to leave but then stopped dead in my tracks again.
