Chapter 9

"Huh?" Niall asks.
"It's a one-meter jump guys," Madison says.
"I will... wait you here," Zayn says.
"No," Keanna says. "Nobody will wait here."
"Have you already jumped?" Liam ask them.
"Oh yeah," Madison says. "Like a hundred times."
"Last time we came here was... last week?" Keanna asks.
"Yeah," Madison says. "Keanna brought his little cousins and me, and we all jumped."
"With little cousins you mean..." Zayn says.
"Six year olds and up," Keanna says.
"I'll do it," I say.
"You will?" Zayn asks.
"It's not that high," I say. "Remember when I jumped from the hotel balcony onto the Lake Como in Italy? It was like five meters tall."
"Wow," Madison says, looking to Keanna. "Why don't we go there?"
"Because we can't earn that much money in a restaurant," Keanna says, laughing.
"Alrighty Harry," Madison says. "First jumper."
"Like in divergent!" Keanna says, making everyone laugh.
"What if you jump with him, Keanna?" Louis asks. "If you do it, I'll jump next."

I stare at him. He stares back and smirks.

"Deal," she says. "C'mon Haz. May I call you Haz?"
"Yeah," I say, laughing. "It's cool."

Keanna takes of her sandals and gives her necklace and phone to Madison, while I take off my shirt and converse. We both cross the banister with a little difficulty and stand in the edge, looking at the water.

"Your butterfly tattoo," she says, looking at my chest.
"Do you like it?" I ask.
"Yeah," she says, pinching my stomach, which makes me laugh. "You have tickles! How cute!"
"Why do you like the tattoo?" I ask, smiling. I know I'm showing my dimples.
"One of my favorite animals is the butterfly," she says, smirking.
"Which are the others?" I ask.
"Pandas, dolphins, cats," she says, laughing.

She looks back at me and we make eye contact. And we smile. Her blue eyes are so wonderful and catchy.

This near from her, I could appreciate her freckles.

"If we stay here, we might get a sunburn," she says, grabbing my hand.
"Do it!" Niall and Liam shout.
"Going!" I shout. "Until three?"
"Neh," she says, squeezing my hand. "Now."

The last thing I hear before jumping, was her laugh. And then I hit the water and stop feeling her hand. I open my eyes just to see her in front of me, smirking. She wants to laugh. I pinch her nose and she smiles. She pinches my stomach back and I laugh, letting water in my mouth. She covers her mouth, wanting to laugh, too. Then we both reach up for air, breathe, and start laughing.

"Deal is a deal!" Louis shouts, jumping beside us. Water splashes our faces and Keanna starts swimming underwater. I follow her and watch how she and Louis start fighting happily, slapping their hands like little kids. I jump out of the water and catch once again my breathe.
"Going!" Niall jumps, making a front flip and splashing the double of water as Louis.
"Liam!" I shout. "Bring the volleyball!"

Louis, Niall and Keanna get up to catch their air, too. Then, they whisper something to each other and start splashing me water.

"Hey!" I exclaim. "I wasn't prepared!"

Then a ball hits my head, leaving a slight pain. "Liam!"
"Sorry lad!" he replies. Madison and him then jump in the pond and end up splashing me water, too.

✩ ✩ ✩

"Zayn!" Keanna shouts. "This is awesome!"
"Come on mate," Louis says.
"You can stand in your feet," Madison says.
"Please!" I shout. "We need you."
"Alright," he says, taking off his shirt. "You have convinced me."

He stands at the edge of the banister, closes his eyes, and without thinking, he jumps. When he reaches for air, we all hug him.

"How brave!"
"Well done!"
"I give you a 6," Louis says.
"Louis!" we all shout in unison.
"Harry!" he shouts.
"Liam," I say.
"Madison," he says.
"Louis!" she shouts.
"Kevin," he says, going underwater.
"Who's Kevin?" Keanna asks.
"A... pigeon," I say. She frowns. But laughs.

The end was so videodiary-typical-stupid-cute. Don't blame me! I know you miss Kevin, too! :) Stay close, I update fast! xx
