"Dude! What?" Marley asked, "That's crap."

"Yea, I concur, yet here we are." Gizzy sighed as Lawg pondered the meaning, or any part of the conversation, really.

"So you're telling me..." Lawg squinted. "That we have no food."

"No, we have food." Gizzy informed. "We just don't have food printers. More accurately, we have food printers, they're just all burned to a crisp." She smiled.

"Did you overcook them?" Lawg asked as Gizzy slowly turned with disappointment, yet again.

"I'm kinda guessing it had more to do with the 60 foot energy walrus that ripped through the power grid last episode and surged the primary systems. Census Lady kinda bent us over a barrel here. We had everything set up to lay low for a few months, but not a lot of food, considering we have food printers and a secondary power core. Now we need to stock up on food somewhere so we can eat while we repair the grid." Gizzy explained.

"Cant we print a new printer? Maybe just a little one?" Lawg asked.

"Oh boy, why didn't I think of printing a small printer? If only we had a power grid capable or running even the small printers, we could print off a new printer, so we could then use that to print off food, you know...or just use that to print food."

"He's not trying to annoy you." Mar sighed. "He's just very good at being stupid and our luck really gargles ballsacks." He yawned.

"Well luckily this is bumble-fart nowhere space, so the small planets around here don't have Federation loyalty. We can sell some supplies, seal the entire southern half of the ship and trade for food. We may as well stock up, because we could need a lot of food while the ship is limping. We can do a 2 team split, get a feel for the locals and start gathering ideas. Might as well make a day of it, I'll be replacing and bypassing fuses all day regardless." Gizzy huffed.

The shuttle pod landed in a peaceful wooded area, a cool temperature and plenty of sunshine, all-in-all not a bad little place to rest. Lawg and Marley exited and began heading down the path towards the nearest town on radar. As they reached a very tiny size in the distance, one of the panels of the ship made a plinking sound, and then abruptly fell off, dumping Menace out with it. She shook her head and sat up, yawning and stretching as she staggered from her game of hide, placing the panel back on and looking for everyone.

"Purple?" she hollered, checking under a small bread-loaf sized rock and finding nobody of interest. She scrunched her face, pondering the situation and then spotting a bug that looked neat, skittering off rapidly.

"Red-leader to doughnut-hole...we found the village." Lawg whispered discreetly into his com.

"Lawg, I refuse to answer to any nickname you made up, especially with the word hole in it." Gizzy grumbled.

"Town is abandoned. We're going to try the next one." Mar sighed. "It looks pre-industrial, so I doubt they ever met aliens before, or don't take kindly to them."

"Just try and get the food, you know what you people eat." Gizzy yawned.

Menace sat down on a stump and winced, as one or both of her stomachs growled.

"Cow." she scolded, lightly pointing at her belly. Sniffing the air for smells and detecting only the fumes of a shuttle pod, she could hear the shuttle taking off and heading skyward.

"No refills remaining?" she asked softly, deciding to pick some flowers as she searched for food. Menace shrugged and began walking, skipping slightly as she counted the yellow flowers and managed to miss the one rock she could trip over. With a slight "eep" she slipped and rolled down the slick, grassy hill, punctuating with the light splash of a 90 pound object hitting the surface of a creek.
