Dear Chen,
My dongsaeng is such an over-achiever.
He gets the highest grades in his batch, he's the baseball star of the school, and he's the friendliest guy ever.
But because of those achievements, he switched schools.
Now I won't have anyone to talk to. Now I won't have anyone to eat with. Now I won't have anyone to walk home with but myself.
I know that I should try to feel joyful about his situation, but it's hard to do so when he was the only person I could have ever leaned on.
His name is Dongho,
Yoojin.
Dear Yoojin,
So you feel lonely and betrayed because of Dongho's departure?
Well, it is inevitable that friends come and go.
If you are no longer becoming a better person, or if you find that you could do better among other people, choosing to leave is normal.
Certainly, friends are like lovers who do not stay. The only difference is that a romantic relationship is not involved.
However, Yoojin, I do sympathize with you. I could never imagine what would happen to my life if my friends and family would leave.
You can lean on me,
Chen.
