"You sure about this?" Jamie asked, wrapping his arm around my waist.
"Yeah."
We entered the classroom. Everyone turned to stare at our broken faces, before rushing over to ask what had happened.
"It was...them." Jamie nodded to the huddle of populars. They were being unusually quiet. The rest of the class broke into conversation. I dragged Jamie over to Ron and Amy.
"Oh my Hayes Grier! You guys are like...back together?"
"Yep," I said, biting my lip. Big mistake. My hand shot up to cover my already existent cut.
"What the...Rosie, what happened?" Amy said, her eyes growing wide.
"Sit down, we'll tell you what happened. Jamie saved my life," I beamed. He rolled his eyes, laughing.
----------------------------------------------
The populars approached us. "So, um...we all wanted to apologise for what happened. We nearly got expelled, but as it happened out of school they couldn't really do much about it," Max gabbled. Roxy nudged him.
"Anyway...yeah, we're sorry."
"Um...it's okay," I smiled.
"No, it's not," Jamie frowned.
"Jamie, remember the whole thing about forgiveness?" I said.
"Okay, it's fine. But do anything like that again, and-"
"Jamie, shut up," I grinned. The populars laughed. Not at us. With us.----------------------------------------------
"Rosie!" Jackie exclaimed, pulling me into a hug as soon as I entered Jamie's house. His mum and I had gotten really close when Jamie and I were together. She had been like my second mother. "I'm so sorry what my son's put you through," she sighed into my hair.
"It's okay, we're back together now," I smiled.
"Mum, when you eventually let go of my girlfriend, we would like to go upstairs," Jamie said. The word girlfriend made me smile even harder.
"Of course, sorry honey." Jamie took my hand and led me upstairs. He sat on the bed and pulled me into his lap, so that I was sitting in a straddle. We kissed for ages. Jamie eventually broke it off and stared at me.
"Don't look at me. The scars are ugly. I'm ugly," I winced.
"No, you're not. You're just as beautiful as when I first laid eyes on you." Giggling, I kissed his blushing cheek.
"Shall we play the XBOX? I have GTA, Assassin's Creed, FIFA and Halo 4?" He suggested.
"Halo!" I yelled, punching the air. We both laughed and went downstairs to the living room. He turned on the XBOX and handed me a controller. He was only on Requiem, one of the first levels, and a level behind me. It was quite funny to watch him attempting to play with his hand in a sling.
"Hey, I only got it recently! Besides, I didn't know you played!" He exclaimed when I told him.
"Yeah, a bit," I smiled, blushing.
After about two hours, I decided to head home.
"I can walk you home if you like?"
"I only live like ten minutes away! But if you want, I guess it's quite dark outside," I grinned, picking up my school bag. We held hands the whole way to my house, talking. When we reached my front door he kissed my cheek and waved goodbye, heading back down the path towards the gate. I pushed my key in the lock, and opened the stiff front door. I was greeted by my dad, who took me by the shoulders straight away. His face was red and blotchy from crying.
"Grab your coat. Your mother's there with him at the moment. I hurried home from work early, and you mum told me to wait for you so that I can drive you in."
"Who? Where?"
"It's...Freddie. He's in the hospital."
