While in the toilet, Mirabelle looks at herself in the mirror, she realizes that her snapback is long gone, and her hair looks as though it'd been rough handled with quite a number of locks pulled out of her low ponytail. She re-ties her hair, and goes to rinse her face. The moment her hand touches the tap, she stops herself. Taking a deep breath, she exhales with a shaky laugh. Sometimes she forgets she isn't human, atleast not completely.

The door opens, and in walks Cleo.

" Are you okay? " Cleo asked her brows drawn together in worry, as she looks at Mirabelle through the mirror.

Mirabelle doesn't know how to respond, so she stares back at Cleo, dumbfounded.

" I'm sorry, it's just, I saw you run out of the janitors closet.. is Darren bothering you? " Cleo tries again.

At the mention of his name, Mirabelle's eyes widen " um.. it's nothing.. Darren is just being an asshole as usual.. " she explains not making eye contact with Cleo.

" It must have been something serious for you to run away like that, and the way he was yelling, " Cleo visibly shudders at the memory, as she stands beside Mirabelle facing the mirror.

Mirabelle turns to face her " it was nothing, please just forget about it okay, I can handle it, I promise " she says pleadingly.

Cleo looks at her for a while, then sighs " okay, I will. But if he bothers you again, just say the word and I'll have my friend Rikki kick his ass for you " she says with a smile, trying to lighten the mood.

Mirabelle smiles " is that so, from the looks of things I don't think Rikki likes me much though " she says thoughtfully.

" Why do u say that? " Cleo asks

" Because of the way she was glaring at me in the cafeteria a while ago. I can't fathom why tho. " Mirabelle answers.

Cleo's eyes widen in understanding " that's because the way you were staring creeped her out, and she doesn't like people much that's all " she says with a little laugh at the end.

" Oh... Well, I guess that's good then " Mirabelle says then faces the mirror to readjust her ponytail.

" Why were you staring anyway? If you don't mind me asking " Cleo asks as she fixes her own high ponytail, and smooths the curls that rest on her shoulder.

Mirabelle's heart skips a beat at the question " um.. well.. you see... " She begins when the bell goes of, signifying the end of lunch. " Shit. I gotta go, I have advanced chemistry now. " Mirabelle says, and heads for the door, she turns around " it was nice talking to you Cleo, I'll be seeing you soon " she says and walks out.

Cleo stares at the door for two more seconds, then shaking her head, she faces the mirror and does a few touch ups to her face. Mirabelle was quite strange that was for sure, she didn't have time to dwell on that, or else she'd be late for glass. With a sigh, she heads out the door.

Mirabelle did her best to avoid Darren for the rest of the day. She couldn't handle another encounter with him today. She didn't understand what his problem was, or why he always liked to pick on her all the damn time. Today's encounter was the most bizarre of them all. Everytime he picked on her, it was mostly just to tease her about how she was socially awkward, her choice of clothes, just normal boring stuff. But today, was quite different. He seemed legit angry, and she had never seen him like that before. The few times she'd seen him after the incident proved her hunch was correct. Why he was angry tho, she couldn't comprehend, and she wasn't the only one out of the loop. It seemed even his friends didn't know what was wrong with him. To be honest, she didn't want to think that he'd be angry at the idea of her liking Lewis. That, wasn't any of his business, but deep down she knew that it might've been the cause, and it just didn't make sense.
