9. Girls Night

"It's Friday night... Time to save some pizza trapped in its box."

Iris

"Hey." Said a voice breaking me out if my thoughts.

I was still sitting on the same bench, where 3 hours ago Aaron had come to apologise. I had stopped crying a long while back. I thought of going home but I decided against it. I did some homework, looked at some old photos.

I tried my best to block out all the thoughts, I pulled out my phone and started listening to songs.

"Iris?" Said the same voice, now with a bit on concern in it.

I looked up to see who it was and I was meet with brown concerned eyes and long mop of red hair.

"Hey Cindy. Sorry I was just lost in my thoughts." I murmured.

"Yeah, it's alright, Aaron told me that after all the shit that went down you were pretty broken. He also asked me to check on you. Ughh, that asshole told me you were in a park but forgot to tell me which one. It took me foreverrrrrrr to find you. But yeah it was pretty dumb of me that I didn't check the park nearest to the school" She face palmed herself and took a seat beside me "Are you alright?"

Wait, Aaron sent her to check up on me. What a hypocrite! He was the one because of whom I was in this mess in the first place. Why does he suddenly act like he cares?! He didn't care while framing me for things I didn't even do!

"Yeah, just fine." I told her with a small smile.

"Wanna come to my place for the weekend? My folks are out of town and my brother is never home on a weekend." Cindy asked.

"Yeah sure. I anyways don't wanna be alone after all the stuff that happened." I said with a sigh.

"Come on, then. Let's get up and going" Cindy said getting up.

I followed her and we reached her car. It was a blue car and I have no damn idea what model it was but to be honest I didn't even give one flying fuck about it.

The ride to her place was a silent but comfortable one.

I looked out of the window and let my thoughts consume me.

Finally breaking the silence I asked her, "So you and Aaron? Are you friends or something?"

"Yeah we are pretty close. I have known him since I was 5..." She was about to say something but she spotted an old guy on the road she took a tight left turn. The car hit a dumpster and came to a screeching halt.

"Oh. My. God. Damn it damn it! My parents would kill me if something happens to my car!" We went outside to check the damage, thankfully the damage was minimum.

The rest of the drive was a silent one.

She pulled over and we reached her house.

Her house was blue, it was small but posh. Almost the whole house looked like it was made up of glass. The house looked breath-taking!

We entered the house, the interior was the complete opposite of the exterior. The exterior was posh and modern while the interior was rustic but comfy looking.

As I walked into Cindy's room, I saw a photo of Cindy, his brother and her parents. Cindy's brother looked familiar to me but I wasn't quite able to put a finger on it as all the photos looked pretty old.

I thought that I could use a shower and jumped in for a bath.

I was too big for Cindy's clothes to fit in so Cindy handed me his brother's shirt, I put it on. The shirt had a rather intoxicating smell, I liked it. It was long so I didn't need to wear anything underneath it.

Cindy called her friends over too, it was a girls' night out. I could really use one to keep my mind off things.

In about 15 minutes the bell rang.

Cindy and I went down to open it. I recognised Cassie who had pile of boxes of pizza in her hand, she was a tall, lean girl who had blonde hair and deep green eyes, I was pretty jealous of her looks because she looked stunning. She looked straight out of the Victoria's secret angels.

Then came Vanessa, who insisted to call her V. She was a devil in disguise, people thought she is a shy girl, to hell with people, even I thought the same but as soon as I got to know her, I figured out that she wasn't even close to shy.

And last but not least came Eleanor, she wore her pyjamas and just when I saw her I knew that we were gonna bond really quickly. She had her One Direction merchandise on.

I wasn't much of a girly girl as people would say, but I loved One Direction!

"Guyss I am so gonna have a food baby after savouring all this pizza and the tubs of chocolate ice-cream! But I don't care! I am in heaven right now, what else can a girl ask for? This is all I ever need!" Vanessa said with a mouthful of pizza.

"Who's gonna be the daddy then?" I smirked.

"OH MY GAWD IRIS don't say daddy! My imagination goes wild on that word!" Cassie screamed and burst into laughter.

"So Alec was totallyyy checking you out today. What's going on between you guys?" Eleanor said wiggling her eyebrows at Cindy who turned red like a tomato.

"Oh, it's nothing, maybe I just have a little crush on him." Cindy said shyly.

"OH MY GOD! FINALLY NOW YOU HAVE MOVED ON FROM THAT SHITTY DOUCHE BAG!" Vanessa and Eleanor said at the same time.

I raised my eyebrows out of confusion

They told me the whole story about Cindy's ex and his toxicity.

After a lot of talk about boys and binge watching atleast 3 movies.

I let sleep take over me. I had a really fun day after a long time!
