TW's this chapter:
-Bullying

Today was my first schoolday in America. Me a 17 year old British boy, knowing no one in a high school of America, it made me really scared. I had been stressing this whole week and today was the day. I couldn't eat anything, I was so nervous. I didn't really have friends in England, but in America. I knew not a single soul.

'George, you have to go, sweetie.' My mum gave me a lunchbox and carried my bag towards me. 'I will drive you there today.'

'T-t-thanks.'

Oh, did I forget to mention? A 17 year old, British and stuttering boy. I have stuttered my whole life, people still laughed at me for it.

'Come on, sweetie. You can't be late.'

'I d-don't want t-t-t-t-.'

'Take a breath, George.'

'To go.'

'It will be alright, sweetie. Maybe you will make a friend.'

'No o-one wants to.'

'You don't know that.'

I shrugged. I did know it. No one ever wanted to be my friend. Why would they want to be my friend now? I didn't need friends as long as they didn't bully me.

I stood up and walked behind my mum to the car. I sat down, shaking my leg heavily.

'Are you nervous?'

I nodded.

'It will be alright, George.'

'Meh. Stuttering.'

'You can't help it, sweetie.'

'They d-d-d-d-.' I sighed. Even though I stuttered my whole life, I still got extremely frustrated when I just couldn't say what I wanted. I took a deep breath. 'Don't care.'

'They might not comment on it, maybe you will find a friend who knows what to do.'

'T-they just fin-nish what I w-want to say.'

'I know, sweetie. I know that annoys you. I know you want to finish your own sentences.'

'Yeah.'

'But people don't know that, sweetie.'

'Annoying.'

My mum rubbed my shoulder. 'It's going to be fine.'

I sighed again and look in front of me. I could see the school coming closer. It was my last year in high school. Everyone already knew each other, which made it even worse for me to fit in. And stuttering and British and alone in an American school.

'George? What are you think of? We arrived.'

I opened the car door. My mum kissed my cheek and I walked away. I wiped my sweaty hands against each other and sighed again. I stepped inside the school. It was way different than my school in England. It was bigger, I saw people walking everywhere around me. It felt like there were at least 5000 people in this school instead of the 500 in mine. I looked at my schedule, I had to go to classroom 176 A. I had no idea where I had to go, but I didn't dare asking it.

Ten minutes later I was still figuring out where I had to go, I started panicking because the class had already started. My first day and I was already too late. I started shaking a little and felt like crying. I couldn't be too late on my first day. I looked around me, everything was empty. Everyone already left for their classes. I sat down and felt a tear streaming down my face. I didn't know what to do, I didn't know where to go. I sat there for ten minutes when suddenly a boy ran in. Blond hair, tall, I guessed green eyes.
