Drifting away (cream story)

Cross' POV
It's been two weeks already, and Dream still hasn't returned home I'm starting to get very worried I know Epic told me to stay calm and relax and just stay patient and that dream will come home, but I just don't feel it.

Recently I've grown a habit of leaving the house a lot saying I'm going shopping but the truth is... is that I've been trying to make myself useful for once instead of just being a husband of the guardian of positivity and the father of the children who look so much like him, in my eyes I see it.

But so far I haven't found a job that interests me... I've been looking into being a banker, an employee of a store, and a waiter but none of them interest me, ugh I wish they still had the job of being a royal guard I would be perfect for that job! I'm a bit out of shape but I can still do it! But in the surface there isn't that much royalty and king Asgore and queen Toriel are no longer royalty for they now work at a flower shop and a teacher. And prince Asriel went to college.

I should probably stop calling them by they're role names....

After a few hours, I decided to go back home to see the kids.

"Ey dude! Kids! I'm home!" I tried yelling happily while also showing a fake smile.

"Oh hey bruh.... you're home early..." epic replied looking very nervous while Starcross was behind him looking both sad and worried.

"Um dude are you alright? Star is something going on? Where's lux?"

"She's pooping!" Starcross shouted in a very dumb way.

"But lux's a skeleton she doesn't need to use the bathroom" cross snorted a bit wanting to laugh.

"But seriously though where's lux? Is she in her room?" Cross questioned now being serious.

"Oh well um bruh... don't be mad at me... and I swear it wasn't my fault! Ok maybe it is but um well I guess you can say lux um well she-"

"LUX RAN AWAY TO LOOK FOR MOM!" Starcross shouted as he quickly covered his mouth.

"WHAT! How do you know this Starcross? Tell me!" Cross answered frustrated and worried.

Starcross walked slowly to his father and pulled out a small piece of paper out of his pocket.

"I-I found this in her room..." Starcross whispered nervously.

Cross read the note carefully and after reading it he quickly said "let's go, we need to find her".

The boys grabbed some flashlights and headed out.

A few hours before cross came home~
Epic and starcross were in the living playing Animal Crossing on their Nintendo switches, lux on the other hand was in her room packing up a few things in her bag such as; a flashlight, a couple of snacks, some of her father's small knives, and a picture of her and her family that'll help her feel safe.

Lux's POV
I couldn't wait any longer I have to go see if my mother is in danger so I thought of a plan. The plan is that I will sneak out tonight while my brother and uncle Epic play their video game and I will escape from my window and use one of my father's knives to travel from the different AUs, but I know how big the multiverse is so I'll have to be quick!

After I thought of my plan, I didn't want to leave my brother and uncle worried so I made them a note to let them know where I'll be going.

The note says:

Dear father, uncle, and brother,

Don't worry I'm fine! I'm on the search to look for mom to see if he's okay he's been gone for too long and we know it's not like him to be gone that long so I am on a quest to look for him and I'm pretty sure the multiverse is big! I hope to see you all soon, and hopefully I'll find mom and we'll come home safely!
