LTY 2: Sly

Yanika's POV

I went straight to meeting the investor who waited at the conference room of the resort when I arrived. As expected, I closed the deal in few minutes.

"It's a pleasure to do work with the great heiress of the Alvarez', Ms. Alvarez," the investor told me happily.

"I guess, we are now settled Mr. Cua," I stood up to shake the guy's hand who's smiling at me like he won a billion-dollar lottery. "You can roam around more at the resort if you must besides your lunch will be ready at the restaurant in a few minutes," I informed him showing courtesy and respect to our new investor.

"Thank you, Ms. Alvarez. But shouldn't you join me in the lunch?" he asked me shamelessly.

Guys really. I knew he requested me from dad because he has a side motive aside from the investment.

"Sure sir," I told him in confidence. I can't show disgust in my face since he will take advantage of it when he sees me weak. I got nothing to lose anyway since I got him on my own terms favorable to my dad's company.

Ain't called a bi-atch, I mean a beast for nothing, you know.

He didn't waste any time, he asked me to tour him around the place but I asked him to wait since I won't be able to walk comfortably wearing a pair of stilettos that I needed to change shoes. He agreed and freaking hell! He waited for me.

Mr. Cua is a young investor actually, around 3 to 4 years older than me. Not really interested about him because he's the type of guy who's persistent and a guy who gets what he wants in just a smile.

Cuas are known for real estates. And if I am not mistaken, I'm with the youngest Cua, who screams luxe and masculinity. He's tall, tan skin with a body to die for. A head turner that's why the other girl guests who are currently booked in the resort right now are trying to catch his attention, most specially when I toured him at the main pool of the resort where girls were almost hovering over him.

It's just me and him right now. He wanted to speculate the totality of the resort alone with me without his secretary and body guards since he said he knew it's safe here.

"Yanika, right?" he suddenly uttered as I was touring him around the sports complex of the resort.

I stopped and faced him, "Are you trying to flirt with me, Mr. Cua?" I bluntly asked and crossed my arms together, raising my brows.

He chuckled at my boldness, "Cheeky. I like that," he even commented. "It's Henry, Nika," he told me.

I was shocked the way he called me. "It's our first meeting Mr. Cua..." he gave me that no-formalities look so, "...oh. Henry, you can't call me with nicknames. We aren't close," again I rudely answered. 

If it's other girls, they'll be having wobbly knees right now but I am annoyed by his persistence. Damn it!

"Rude but I still like it," again he murmured at himself. This guy is really tenacious.

"Am I touring you around because you wanted to see the place or you are just making a way to talk to me personally mister?" now there's annoyance in my voice. "If you wanted to talk to just me or ask me for a date, ask me directly. Coward!" again vulgarly telling him to turn him off.

"Witty. Indeed, the savageness and fierceness. Your turning me on young miss," he said making him taken aback by the use of words. Because of that I furrowed my brows a little.

"Turning you on in what way mister?" I playfully asked smirking at him. I knew he would love that.

"F'ck it!" he lightly cursed gaining a cackle from me. "Sorry, I didn't mean anything bad," he honestly told me in worry which was written all over his face. "I just mean you're a real challenge for me. All girls fall for me instantly when I smile," he added. He indeed has a perfect catchy smile. It's charming but I don't necessarily fall for it. 

"Sorry to say, I'm not one of those girls. And who says I am offended? I'm used to those kinds of words mister. Besides 'em no sensitive type of lady," I smirked telling him. "So, should we continue with the tour? Will you listen to me now?'' I demanded and he nodded. Good dog.

"Talk me about my personal life later at lunch. My time is precious mister and I am doing you a favor by touring you personally even if I have employees who are in-charge in here," I harshly told him earning a soft laugh from him.

"Of course, my lady. Go ahead so I can't waste your priceless time," he said humorously which made us both laugh.

As time goes by, I patiently toured him and he it was funny because he was literally like he's a good dog following me. He was just nodding all the time and giving complements consistently.

"I received a message telling the lunch is already ready. Let's go," I told him and again following me without any complain.

After a cart ride from the farthest part of the resort which is the leisure/sports complex, we arrived safely to the main building where it's near the restaurant.

We served the best of the best foods of the restaurant to impress him.

"The food looks amazing," he told me.

"It even tastes better sir. So please eat now," I told him. 

The lunch went good, he even told me about his intentions and that he just wanted friendship from me since all the girl's he have been was all the same. Just want money from him and likes him because he's rich and he has the looks. He never really had someone who's fair enough to be real infront of him most of the time he will encounter someone unreal and with side intentions. 

I pitty him for that. That's why I did agreed to be friends with him since he was nice too. 

Finally, I got to rest. I am currently in my own Villa Neda in the resort. Dad always make sure that I have a place to rest whenever I wanted to visit. And they are exclusive and named after me. I never ask for it but he was just too sensitive and protective when it comes to me making me a daddy's girl indeed. 

I don't know why but maybe because I'm an only child. Dad has been really protective, overprotective if he must. But it wasn't really a bad strictness. He jokes around but sometimes he means it. That's why I'm called a free person because I can do whatever I want.

The tour turned out annoying but still  good because I get to inspect the resort at the same time. Now I only had an hour to rest before travelling back to the metropolitan area for another inspection to my new Café Nedas.

I took a short nap and when I woke up, I went to the porch where I sat in one of the outdoor lounge couches. I got lost on my thoughts at the overlooking clear sparkling ocean.

The location of the resort is really nice. It's in a private island which he bought as expected of dad. The sand is the purest white and sea is turquoise and screams serenity when you look at it. It's nice living here, it's quiet. You get your own privacy because your own villa is far from the next villa. The resort has total of area of 100 hectares, yup, that's why Alvarez' are known for luxurious resorts and hotels. 

The resort also offers lots of different activities. May it be in land or in the water. We also have spa,  sports complex, a restaurant, a bar, a tennis court, name it we have it. You can do mountain hiking, zip line and a lot more. The luxurious resort is exclusive for the registered members. The benefit of them is that they are priority of the resort. It offers membership but it has been closed now due to high demand of applicants for the membership.

The resort created jobs around the place and it also promoted tourism which is very heart felt for us. Getting VIP guests made the place popular for more tourists. Well, speaking of the VIP guests, I was supposed to check on them today. 

I prepared myself to leave now but I have to check in the new VIP guests we have before leaving.
