Part 02 - Digital Investigation
Sitting on the bean bag like a fallen leaf with a laptop in her laps she took a sip of her coffee.
when she got a text from her mother. "Ridhima did you talk to Armaan".
"Yes mom I did." sending the text out she waited for her mom to call and within a minute she smiles with the ringtone. shaking her head she received the call.
"Yes mom," she asked without greetings or any other formalities to be shared.
"So" was the only thing her mother said from another end.
"Mom you know its 11 pm back in India and you are calling me to ask so." she chuckled only to be shot dead at that laughter. "Ridhima".
"Okay fine... dad is more fun than you. you just spoil all the fun mom" she complained not wanting to straight away give her mom what she is looking for from her.
"Ridhima. fine good night." she is the mother of no other but Ridhima's only. is her daughter can make her run for the chase she can cut it down just before it can even start.
"Mom.. way you do that" ridhima complain over the call as she knew what her mother is doing right now.
"I am your mother girl. you got all your drama from me. I am the principal of the drama school" she smiled over the pout face her daughter must be making.
"Fine. he texted last night," she huffing told her.
"And" Padma hints her to continue "And we are meeting today in the evening to know each other a little and then maybe we can go to grab a bite at some joint here. If things go well," she told their plans to her mom.
"Ridhima ask him whatever you want. we want you to meet the boy but you know we won't force our decision on you just talk to him don't keep words in your mind." Padma told her daughter.
"Yes, mom I will. Now you go to sleep dad won't be home for the night anyway" she told her mom to rest.
"Someone is talking to her father seems" Padma tried to complain but Ridhima knew better than her words frame.
"Well, what can a girl do when her mother never picks up her phone when she is on her job" she taunted back.
"You got me. Anyway, enjoy the evening." The Padma rested her cases after that one statement.
"I will mom. good night." Ridhima wished her. "Love you beta."
"Love you too mom." with a smile she kept her phone on the side sipping her coffee.

A week went by and in all the work at my disposal, I forgot about the 'Ridhima' girl. I promised my mom that I would talk to her. "But I am surprised how she kept it low the whole week without asking me about it at all.
"I hope she is fine." holding onto that though he searches her number in her phone book.
"Hello" came a man's voice. But instead of replying or greeting him, Armaan fired a question. "Where is mom"
"What a great way to greet your brother Bhai" came a complaint of his younger brother Maan
"Shutup Maan put mom online," he said dismissing him.
"Mom is not home and she forgot her phone back at home" he informed her straight forward as his brother doesn't seem to be interested in talking to him.
"Oh... okay" with those two words the silence prevailed.
"I'll tell her to call you once she is back. Bye," Maan said trying to cut off the call when Armaan asked. "What are you up to these days"
