i MIGHT be crying just a little bit as i'm writing this
thanks again for taking this journey with me and the people who i've dedicated myself to writing about! i'm glad it ended up resonating with as many people as it did. and now, for some announcements:
i'll be going through the first several chapters and editing them, mostly fixing spelling and grammar mistakes. obviously don't feel the need to keep up to date with that, no parts of the story itself will change.
however! i DO have plans to rewrite this story in the future! i'll be taking a few months to work on other projects before i'm ready to do that, and i'll announce it here when i do. i'll be further developing the world, the lore, and the plot, as well as adding some new characters ;) the old draft (this one) will stay published on my account, so don't feel like you need to read the new one. this story will always be here. keep yourself updated so you can see when that happens either here or by following me!
when that's finished, i have some vague plans for a few other stories set in the same universe. because Ainsley and Gael's stories are far, far from complete! i'd like to write both a sequel with a new main character but with our two favourites still very much involved, as well as a prequel focusing on Gael's life before she met Ainsley, namely her journey to becoming a pirate. so while those are both even further in the future, keep an eye out for them!
and again! i am overwhelmed with gratitude for you all. i couldn't have done this without your support, and the feeling of having completed such a major project is amazing. i'll see you all whenever i next announce the next big news. until then, i'll be working on other projects, so head on over to my account for other stories about LGBTQ+ characters that i hope will immerse you.
thank you! <33
