Chapter 5, Knight Bus

3rd POV

After Hagrid got our own separate rooms he made sure the teenagers all got to their rooms safely before leaving. They all decided to retire for the night until dinner from the long day they had. After dinner everyone all went back to their rooms while saying goodnight. They all had written their responses to their acceptance letters and sent them out. Once Ed had sent his letter out on Winry's owl, Kleebly, who had Winry and Al' response letters.

Ed sat at the desk right in front of the window looking at the starts for a while before he went to bed at some time in the night. He woke up to someone knocking on my door. He looked over to the clock to see that it was 10:00 am, they were supposed to meet the Weasley family at that hill at 11. He jumped out of bed and answered the door to see Al and Winry with their suitcases, school supplies and pets in hand, (other than Kleebly because he was sending out the letters) ready to get on the road.

He put a hand up to them. "Just give me 19 minutes and I'll be downstairs!" He said and before he could let them answer Ed shut the door. Ed dressed and got all of his things together and ran downstairs to meet his family. They had a plate of food ready for him before they hit the road. Edward quickly ate the food then they walked out of the Leaky Cauldron while saying goodbye to Tom.

They looked at some maps but we couldn't figure out where the hill was. "Now what?" Winry asked us. "I don't know.. maybe we could ask someone or-" Edward started to say while sticking out his right hand before they all stumbled back by a big gust of wind. Once they got their feet stable they saw a big purple bus and it was 3 story's high. They all stumbled back a little until they heard a voice that made them jump.

"Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the standard wizard or witch. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere. My name is Stan Shunpike, and I will be your conductor this evening. Where are you headin'?" The guy wearing a purple uniform said. They stood start-struck before Winry took out the piece of paper Mrs. Weasley gave them and gave it to Stan. "We are supposed to be heading to this location but we don't know where it is.." she said to Stan.

"Woss your names, eh?" He said as he took their things into the bus. "I'm Alphonse Elric, my brother Edward Elric, and our friend Winry Rockbell." Al said to Stan as they sat on the beds in the bus while Stan put their things under the beds. "How much is it from here to that place?" Winry asked Stan. "11 sickels each," said Stan, "but for 14 you get 'ot chocolate, and for 15 you get an 'ot water bottle an' a toofbrush in the color of your choice." They each took 11 sickels from their money bags and put them in his hand as he pocketed them.

Stan walked over to the front compartment of the bus. The teenagers looked over to see a man sitting in front of the steering wheel. "This is our driver, Ernie Prang. This is Winry Rockbell, and Edward and Alphonse Elric, Ern," Stan said to the man, who nodded to the teens. "Take it away Ern!" Stan said to Ernie, sitting down in the set next to him. "You might wanna hold onto somethin'!!" He yelled to the teens in the back.

There was a loud bang and that moment, all of then were flat against the bed they were on by the speed of the Knight bus. The next moment the bus stopped and the doors opened. "Alright then, off you go!" Stan said as he started to take are things and put them outside. Once they got outside and turned around to say goodbye the bus was already speeding away. "Okay.." Winry said wiping her hands on he skirt and leggings, turning around looking for the Weasley, and Harry and Hermione...

— yay! So I have all of the Harry Potter books in hand so I used the 3rd book, (Prisoner of Azkaban) for the Knight Bus scene. It was hard trying to read and write while it's pitch black and I only have my phone flashlight... anyways! I hope you like the chapter even though it's shorter than normal. (I usually write about over a thousand words but I wrote about 700) I hope you have a good day/afternoon/night!
