Scorpius had woken up first, and the second he did he had panicked. His stupid not-so-small crush on Albus was shaking, and he didn't know what to do. The two were friends- and only friends, and the only reason why they were so close was because it was freezing cold outside and he was too stupid to bring blankets.
Scorpius sighed, setting his head on Albus's chest, breathing in his sent. He felt at peace, thought it wasn't for long, mainly because Rose had entered the tent again. He was a light sleeper, so the small gasp that Rose had let out woke him up.
"you two- are-" Rose stuttered, staring at Albus and Scorpius with wide eyes. "i-i- thought you-"
Scorpius panicked. What was he supposed to say?
Everyone in the school thought he was in love with Rose- even Rose herself.
"Rose- it's not what it looks like-"
"DONT FUCKING LIE TO ME" Rose screamed. "god, why did i think i had a chance with you? i knew you liking me was a huge lie, i should have never fallen for it!"
Scorpius moved away from Albus, who was somehow still asleep and stood up. "Rose, you are nothing more than my friend. and i know that hurts because you did the same to me. Feelings change, people change. I moved on, Rose, and you can not be mad at me for that. "
Rose scoffed. "of course, because when things don't go your way you fuck someones cousin"
"we didn't fuck, Rose"
"don't fucking lie to me! you hate me, the only reason why you want to be with someone is so you feel loved. you don't like anyone, you the the IDEA of them. you like the IDEA of a partner, you know that you are unloveable and unloved, why lie to yourself more?"
Scorpius stared at Rose. "Get out" he said, tearing pricking his eyes.
"wha-"
"I SAID GET OUT! NEVER TALK TO ME AGAIN!" he screamed, anger flowing through his veins.
"Scorpius-"
"get. out. " he said stenly, digging his nails into his palm so he wouldn't cry. "just leave"
Shocked, Rose walked out of the tent.
The second she was gone, Scorpius broke down crying.
