Time

Albus had heard the entire conversation between Rose and Scorpius and was quite frankly pissed. He couldn't believe Rose would say those things to Scorpius. It angered him, and he wasn't sure why. Yeah, he was protective of Scorpius, but he didn't know that he was that protective of him. 

Albus tried to ignore Scorpius's sobbing, he tried to act asleep.. but he couldn't. Scorpius was in pain and someone needed to be there for him- and Albus felt that it had to be him. He had to be the one to wipe away his tears. He had to be the one to make those tears stop. He had to be the one to make him smile. He couldn't hear Scorpius's pain and act like everything was fine- when he did so he felt as though his heart was being torn out of his chest. 

Albus slowly moved over to Scorpius, sitting down next to him. He wasn't sure what he was doing- it was kind of just happening. "hey..." he whispered, making Scorpius look up at him. 

He had only been crying for a few minutes, but he looked broken. His face was stained with tears, and more were falling down. His eyes were red and glossy, and he just overall looked hurt.

"i-im fine" he muttered, smiling a sad, watery smile and wiping away his tears. 

Albus frowned, wrapping his arms around Scorpius, pulling him into a hug. "its okay to not be okay"

Scorpius shook slightly, hugging Albus back, not wanting to let go. 

After a few minutes, Albus moved away from Scorpius, looking into his eyes. He smiled sadly, gently wiping away his friend's tears with his thumb. "it's going to be okay" he whispered. "just give it some time"

"I've tried," Scorpius said. "I've tried so many times..... but it never ends up okay" his eyes were dull. "I might as well give up"

Albus grabbed Scorpius's hands, looking into his eyes to show how much he meant what he was about to say. "it will be okay, Scorpius. Things might seem hopeless, it might seem like nothing will ever be okay.... but things will turn out well. things will be okay... i promise you that" 

Scorpius couldn't hold it back anymore. He kissed Albus, finally having the strength.
