"ladies and gentlemen, be ready for our landing in San Diego International Airport in 10 minutes. thank you for flying with us and have a nice stay" was heard thru the speakers in the plane

i begin to pack my stuff
and disconnect my airpods

10 minutes later the plane landed
i smiled one last time at the old lady next to me and stood up to get my bag from above me
when i have my bag i turn around but a little too fast

i bump into someone
"wooww watch where you going kid" a male voice said
"can say the same to you kid" i snapped back
i pick my bag up from the ground to be met with a boy my age

"uhm i'm sorry i'm just stressed" i quickly said
he chuckled
"hey! i apologized and you just laugh at me" i said offensive

"daniel" he put his hand in front of me
i look at him
"kaitlynn" i say, shaking his hand

"maybe we should walk out, we're the last ones" he said

"after you" he said with a hand thing
i giggled

"so where are you heading to?" he asks
"well actually no where, i was thinking renting a house by the beach" i tell him while we slowly walk to the exit from the airport
"well i actually live in a house at the beach so you can stay at mines" he smiles at me
"i just met you" i laughed
"if i wanted to rape you i would've in the airport baby" he chuckled
i giggled

"okay i'll come with you" i bumped his arm
"yeess" he fistbumped the air
i laughed
"i think i am gonna change my answer" i laughed
"too late" and he pulled me towards the parking lot

~alejandro's pov

"should i text her"
"what if she's in danger"
"what if she never comes back"

"kairi relax!" i put a hand on kairi's shoulder
"baby everything is gonna be okay" i reassured him
"no it's not, we lost both of them" he began sobbing

i pulled the poor boy in for a hug

i pulled both of us to the couch and sat down with kairi in my chest

i grab my phone and see a missed call

"the hospital called" i say
"wel call them back" i head a muffled voice

"hello this is alejandro rosario, you called"

"yes hello mr. rosario, we have news about mattia polibio"

"oh really"

"yes, i will connect you to dr. newmann"

"that'll be great, thank you"

"you're welcome"

"what?" kairi pulled my sleeve
"news about mattia" i whispered
"what did they say"
"nothing, the reception lady is connecting me to mr newmann"

"alejandro i have some shocking news about mattia"

"yes the reception lady told me"

"you should come to the hospital with kairi bud, i can't just tell this over the phone"

"come on let's go to the hospital" i said standing up
"what did they say" kairi asked while putting his shoes on
"still nothing" i say while tying his shoelace

"come on" i said grabbing the keys
