Clarice's P.O.V

*13 years later*

I sat at my desk in my leather chair and filled out the reports for my meeting with my share holders.

It was so boring but it paid the bills

"Exuse me Miss.Duke?" I heard from my office door and I looked up to my secretary with a raised eyebrow

"Jane I told you you can call me Clare and please come in you don't have to stand by the door" I told her and she shook her head

"I think you would like alone time your mom is on line 4" She tells me and I thanked her before she left

I pick up the phone pressing the number phone

"Hi mom" I greeted her and I heard her sob making me worry "hey hey mom what's wrong?"

"Y-your brother" she cried out and I was more than confused as well as worried

"What about him?" I asked her concerned

He may not be the best brother but I still cared about him

"He-he is in jail" she hiccups out and I wanted so badly to sigh knowingly

"It's gonna be okay mom..I'll come over tomorrow and you can tell me all about how this happened I have to get back to work" I told her and heard her sniffle

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow. I love you sweetie" My mom said to me

"I love you too. Bye." I said wait till she hung up before I let out a sigh

Of course he was in jail he was doing so stupid illegal shit I bet. I warned him so many times.

I took my coat off as I got into my house and placed it on my coat hanger before going to the kitchen to grab a glass of wine

I sat down on my stool at my island then put my head in my hands and breathed out

Ringgg! Ringgg!

My phone rang and I picked it up

" This Donalds W. Wyatt's Detention faculty would you like to accept the charges to talk to inmate Clarke Duke" The operator asks me and I shook my head

"Yes I accept the charges" I said to the operator before it transfered me to my brother

"Clarice. Sis. My favorite sibling" Clarke sucked up to me making me roll my eyes

"Just get to the point Clarke" I told him and he sighed out

"I need to ask a favor" He says to me and I smirked

He needed a favor from me for the first time he actually asked. Ha.

"What is it?" I asked him and he breathed out in relief

"Can you please take care of the kids and my wife?" He begged me and I couldn't help but feel annoyed

"Now you care about them and her" I said pissed off

"Clarice you know it was mom and dad who made me marry her don't be like that" He says to me and I become even more angry

"You mean father who did and you still could've been there more"  I told him and he sighed out

"I know but just please do me the favor" He said to me and I took a deep breath

"Okay I will take care of them" I agreed to the favor and he sighed out in relief

"Alright now I have to go. I love you Clarice." He says to me with care in his voice

"I love you too Clarke. bye." I told him and hung up

I guess after seeing mom I'll be going to my brother's house tomorrow...
