"WHIT, LET ME PLAY MY MUSIC!" Lo shouts, tugging the aux cord out of my grasp.

"NO!" I yell back, pulling it back towards me.

"But I let you get the front seat!" She argues.

"Not fair! You didn't even fight me for it!" This's never gonna end. When my mom, my sister, and I argue with someone, we don't back down. We always have to get our way. It's a family thing. Dad was good for us because he had a calmer attitude that chilled us all out, while Lo and I continue instigating. We obviously get it from our mom.

She snarls and launches herself toward me from the back seat grabbing the cord again, "That's because I was trying to be nice! Now return the favor you stupid blonde b-"

I gasp, "Don't you dare finish that sentence!" I tug again.

"I can if I want-"

"Girls! Enough! Seriously. If you argue any longer my head might explode!" She glares at us, "Now apologize!"

"Sorry, mom." We both say at the same time.

She shakes her head, "Not to me, you dumb-dumbs! To each other!"

Lo glances at me and I glance back at her. She crosses her arms and turns her head out the window with a pout on her face. Sighing I do the most adult thing ever, "I'm sorry, Lorretta."

She glares at me, "I'm sorry too, Whitney." I scoff.

"Better. Now, how about we play my music, sound like a deal?" We both nod our heads and she continues to drive into town. It's a short drive since we only live about 5 minutes away. We could walk, but we just drive because of all the stuff we'll most likely end up with.

Once we get there we find a parking spot and head towards the little shops and restaurants.

"I called Joe earlier and asked if he could save us a table, is that okay?"

"Yay!!" Lo jumps up and down in excitement.

"I'll take that as a yes," Mom chuckles.

We make our way to Joes, a small restaurant owned by a family friend, and I hold the door open as Lo gets on her knees after walking in, "All hail Queen Emma, aka our mom!", Loretta makes motions as if she praising her and pretends to fake cry, "It's such an honor, My Queen!"

Mom blushes as she walks through the door, "You're too much, girls. Let's just get a table,"

Lo gets up and we get to a table with 'Jones' written on a sticky note. Which is Joe's way of saving us a table. We take our seats and look through the delicious menu. Ugh, it all looks so good!

A couple of minutes later Joe approaches us and gives us a smile. "Good evening, girls. Queen Emma," He winks at my mom as she again, blushes. Everyone loves Joe, but he's definitely not a pushover. Seriously, ask the teens that were trying to use his niceness to get a discount. Joe lives above the diner. He's single. I wouldn't say he's alone he loves hanging out with everyone and he's definitely a flirt. He's that type of guy who is manly and builds things but he is a real softy for everyone.

"Hello Joe, I'm guessing you saw that then?" Mom cringes, before chuckling awkwardly.

"Oh, I for sure did. So did the rest of my customers," He smirks turning to us, "It truly was alonely performance,"

We smile at him, "Thank you, Joe! Does this mean we get a discount because we entertain you and make your super boring days very exciting?" I add a tone of sweetness to my voice and flutter my eyelashes.
