Third Person

Gulf sighs as he stands in front of his uncle's farmhouse, his suitcase behind him.

"Nong Gulf!" His uncle, Wave, shouts as he walks out and pulls Gulf into a tight hug.

Standing still, Gulf's eyes widen at the sudden affection.

When Wave pulls back, he holds onto the sides of Gulf's arms and smiles. "Do you remember me?"

Before Gulf can answer, Wave continues to talk. "Ah, probably not. You were so little then. You might not remember me, but I bet you remember the times you went out the entire day and picked all the fruits and vegetables you could from the field. Even the ones that were not ready to be eaten."

Gulf stands there watching as his uncle laughs at the memory.

"So, how have you been?" Wave asks, grabbing Gulf's suitcase with one hand and placing his arm over his nephew's shoulder, leading him inside the house.

"Air! Gulf has arrived!" Wave calls out as he sets the suitcase beside the couch and tells Gulf to sit down.

Gulf sits and watches as the man busies himself with pouring three glasses of water.

"Oh my, you were right. He sure has great genes." Air says as she walks down with Alex in her arms.

Once they reach the bottom of the staircase, Air lets Alex down to go run around as she walks over to Gulf.

Gulf stares at the strange woman who he assumes is his uncle's wife.

"I'm Air." The wife introduces, holding her hand out.

Gulf puts on a small smile and shakes her hand. "Gulf."

"Even your voice is beautiful." Air compliments, withdrawing her hand after their little handshake.

"Excuse me, don't be flirting with every person I bring in here." Wave says, walking over to them with the glasses of water. He hands one glass to each person and sets his on the table.

"I was just playing with the kid, Wave." Air replies, lightly slapping her husband on the arm.

"Seems more like you scared him." Wave says, waving his hand in front of Gulf's face.

Gulf shakes his head lightly and looks up at the two.

"Looks like you zoned out there, buddy." Wave says.

"Sorry, I was just thinking about something." Gulf replies with a quiet voice, his eyes starting to wander somewhere else.

"If you tell us, you'll get whatever that's stressing out off your shoulder." Wave says.

"Usually, I don't listen to him, but this one advice, he's right about." Air adds.

Wave's mouth drops open as he turns to his wife. "So, you never listen to me?"

"It's not what I meant, hun." Air replies.

Air turns her attention to Gulf and says, "Tell us what's going on. Maybe we can help. Your mother said she sent you here to help you relax from your heavy work schedule."
