-Time skip to Early Sept 1781-

"Well Miss Washington you seem to be in perfect condition. I'd say you're good to go, just make sure you don't go jumping in the middle of anymore duels."

I laughed and nodded my head, "Okay doctor, trust me I've learned my lesson. From now on I will think before acting."

The doctor gave me some more medication just to be on the safe side and then I was good to leave. My recovery was extremely fast and I couldn't be more happy. I was also extremely lucky because the bullet didn't hit anything vital, as far as I know it only caused minor damage with a lot of bleeding.

As I walked out of the medical tent I made my way to my father's tent. While I was in recovery I still wanted to be apart of the war, so he let me make some plans for future battles. He would come to check in on me from time to time and when he did, we discussed our plans. My father and I devised a plan to put all of the fighting to a stop in Yorktown. We would start our march towards Yorktown early next week and arrive there in plenty of enough time to get everything prepared.

Although as I walked towards my father's tent I found Lafayette. He walked over to me and nodded his head with a smile on his face. After the duel my father sent Alexander home for two reasons. The first being his punishment for the duel and the second was his new baby on the way. When I found out the news I was so excited but I knew I couldn't say anything to anyone else without their permission. I didn't know if they wanted the news shared or not. Although both Laf and I knew that we couldn't win this without Alexander, so we were going to get him back.

We walked into my father's tent and found him at his desk surrounded by papers, as usual. When he looked up to see us he quickly displayed a small smile, "Ah how are my two finest soldiers?"

"I'm doing well father, I was just cleared by the doctor so I'm able to join you back on the field."

My father nodded with delight, "That's great! How are you Lafayette?"

"I'm doing well Sir."

My father looked at the two of us and waited for us to speak more. We began to speak about the plans for Yorktown and soon enough Lafayette started to slowly bring up Hamilton, "Sir we can end this war at Yorktown, cut them off at sea, but for this to succeed there's someone else we need."

My father placed his hand on his chin and sighed, "I know."

I looked over to Laf and took over the discussion, "Father he knows what to do in a trench, he's ingenuitive."

I went to continue but Laf interrupted, "And fluent in French!"

I placed both of my hands on his desk and looked down at him, "You're gonna have to use him eventually, what's he going to do on the bench?"

Lafayette walked behind me and leaned against my shoulder, "No one has more resilience, or matches my practical, tactical brilliance."

I saw that we were getting no where so I slammed my hand down on the table and pointed in my father's face, "Do you want to fight for your land back!"

Both Laf and I watched as he looked at us and nodded his head, "I need my right hand man back."

I smiled as I handed him a pen and a piece of paper. He began to write a letter for Alexander and once he was done, it was sealed shut. He passed the letter towards me and I didn't waste a second to grab it.

"You know what to do."

I smiled at my father and quickly rushed out of the tent with Lafayette. We cheered to ourselves as we realized that we got our friend to return to the war. We delivered the letter to be mailed as fast as possible and soon started walking back to my father's tent. We wanted to finish our discussion about Yorktown so that we had a solid plan. As far as we knew, most of our men would head to Yorktown and a group of men would travel to South Carolina and help those troops. John would be apart of that group. I hated that he would leave my side but I knew that it was for our freedom. Another group of men would go along with Lafayette to Chesapeake Bay. The rest would be with Alexander, my father, and I on foot in the trenches.
