Author's POV

His boxy smile never left his face as took another glance of himself in the mirror. He rushed outside of the recording studio, meeting the youngest member of their group, Jungkook. "Where are you going Hyung?" Asked the youngest as he sipped on his banana milk. "I'm off to meet my high school friends," he gladly said. "Oh! Take care," Jungkook bid goodbye and proceeded to the training room. "I'm not late, am I?" He looked on his wrist watch and jogged his way to the parking lot.

Flashback – Second Year of High School

Y/N's POV

Another school year began. I proceeded to my classroom and chose the seat near the window from the last row, where I could get a view of the trees outside. "Hey, hey, look who do we have here..." Said one of the guys as he approached me. He tapped my empty table while I adjusted my big eyeglasses. "Hey nerdy. We are already in the modern world, are you living from the past?" The whole class laughed as this guy mocked at me. I lowered my head as I clenched my fists under the table. Breath in, breath out.

"Hey," a male voice interjected. I could hear the seat next to me moved, "Stop with the childish acts. Leave Y/N alone." I looked to the direction of the voice and there he was, the guy that I've always dreamt of. Kim Taehyung.

"Chill man," the mocking voice approached him. "Don't come near me or her ever again," he threatened. The whole class had become quiet and I saw how the guy from earlier flinched and returned back to his seat.

I glanced at Taehyung and he was sitting coolly on the seat next to me. He's just too perfect that it feels like he's out of my league.

Taehyung's POV

Did I just catch Y/N staring at me? Does she need something? I just brushed it off and pulled out the books out of my bag.

Flashback – Second Year of High School – Field Trip

Y/N's POV

I never really had close friends in high school. I have a childhood friend who was on the same age as I was, but she was studying on different school. She knew that I was an introvert and she was the one who would always push me to try new things I was scared of.

Currently, we were on a field trip and was paired randomly. Unfortunately, the person I got paired up to ended up switching partners, so that she will be with her boyfriend the whole day. My new partner didn't like my presence as well, so I ended up being alone which was not new to me. I just followed the map handed to us by our teachers earlier and I explored the place alone. Out of nowhere, a deep voice called out my name. "Y/N?"

"Kim Taehyung?" I was surprised to see him all alone. "Are you alone?"

"No," he shook his head. "I'm with Min Gyu," he pointed to the tall guy who just came out of the cake shop. "Y/N?" Min Gyu spoke like he was surprised. "Why are you alone?" He approached me worriedly.

"I got lost?" Yep, I lied. I didn't want to let them know that my partner left me.

"Still, your partner should be with you no matter what." Min Gyu explained. "Do you want to go with us?" I looked from him to Taehyung who seemed to be uninterested. Min Gyu noticed it so he added, "Don't worry about Taehyung. He's fine with it."

I was not able to respond as Min Gyu already took my hand and led the way.

Taehyung's POV

Min Gyu never left Y/N's side when I was supposed to be his partner. They looked so happy together however, something in me felt uneasy. "Taehyung?" Y/N approached me almost whispering. I didn't notice that she was already standing in front of me. "Min Gyu needed to go to the wash room. He said we can wait for him on the bench over there," she gestured with her small hand.
