Makaveli aka 'Mack' speeded down the almost empty highway lighting his 'splif' as he headed back home from his patna's house getting ready to take his positon on the couch tonight > reasoning : he slapped his mothers boyfriend .

"Grown ass man still eating cereal at two in the morning" Mack shook his had talking to himself . He was the type to feel as if he was invincible - like he couldn't be touched .

And to be honest , he couldn't

Had a few run-ins with the law but it wasn't ever anything major — until tonight.

As he drove the road kept getting a little darker so he knew he was close to the house . He ashed the blunt out in some water that was in a kiddy cup he took from Geralds son ; his moms boyfriends 'bastard'.

Turning the corner down the dirt road he used that way to get back to the house — just like that he saw the flashing red and blue lights and suddenly everything stopped .

The officer walked slowly making his way over to the drivers side of Mack's car

The officer walked slowly making his way over to the drivers side of Mack's car . Tapping the rear light on his way over, he then tapped the window — just for it to be rolled down .

Makaveli then placed his hands back on the wheel staring ahead .

"Do you know why I stopped you?" The officer asked stern. "No sir." Makaveli replied . He was taught to respect the police, so 'fuck the police' wasn't a term he practiced.

"You been smoking tonight Mack?" The officer asked making Makaveli sigh. "You got a problem boy? 'Cause I got a solution just say the word."

"Fuck is you talkin b-" Mack started just to be sntached out the car "Aye! Come on bruh, my arm!" He shrugged as the man stepped on his spinal cord with his knee, as the officer reached for his cuffs Mack threw him off and got up trying to get in the car . Just to feel a sting to his back and his body shook viciously.

"Fucking nigger." The officer started speaking code into his radio — he placed the cuffs on Mack and placed his shaking body into the back seat of his patrol car .

"Makavei Don Robinson, how did you manage to get arrested again?" His mother stressed to him through the phone.

"I don't know." He sighed.

"Well you know money is tight right now, you're just gonna have to wait it out till court. "

"It's always wait it out never 'do you have money I could use?'. " Mack grunted under his breath, he was starting to get hot.

"Well you never asked me if I had time to do it. I'm not gonna keep bailing you out because of your bad attitude."

"You're not bailing me out I- you know what it's good don't even worry about it." He sighed giving up with her. He rested his face in his hands. Makaveli didn't know how to feel.

Mack felt nothing but helpless at the moment and she made him frustrated. Younger him would've cried but he was grown up now. He had to find a better way to release his stress & anger.

"So what do you want me to do? Because I still need money for the house-"

He looked up at her trying to find a little bit of remorse, just a sign that she actually cared . But found none. At this point he didn't even know why he called her here. Or thought she might have changed.

She was always going to be the same. Cared for only three of her kids and relied on the one who made the most for support. Instead of getting it her own.

"I'm done." He told her and she stopped talking.

"What?" She finally asked. He shook his head and backed his chair away from the glass that divided them.

"I'm done , I have someone who can handle this for me. You're free now you don't have to deal with this fuck up anymore. " He stood up as the guard took him away. His head hung low as he was escorted to the back.

"I'm so done." He mumbled lowly to himself. That day changed him. It changed the way he saw things, people. The environment. Makaveli changed.

His mom stared into space as those words replayed in her mind. A lone tear dropped from her eye but she quickly wiped it. Snatching her purse from the table and stomped out of the facility.
