BEST FRIENDS

Sofia's birthday

It was the morning of Sofia birthday and Sofia's birthday party was tonight.

Sofia got woken up by Clover her bunny friend and he hopped onto Sofia's bed and said, "Happy birthday Sof!"

Sofia giggled, "Thanks Clover." "I just hope it goes well and nothing unexpected happens."

Clover reassured Sofia, "Princess if there was anything unexpectedly happening you'd be the first to know." "Don't worry it's your birthday enjoy it." 

Sofia frowned sightly but put a bright smile on her face anyway and said, "Thanks Clover."

Clover said, "Anytime Princess."

Before Sofia could say anything, her parents walked into her room.

Queen Miranda said, "Happy birthday Sofia."

King Roland exclaimed, "Happy 18th birthday Sofia!" "I hope you will enjoy your birthday party tonight, you,Amber and James have been planning it with your friends and now you get see the finished results from all that planning."

Sofia smiled nervously hoping her birthday party tonight would go well.

Baileywick and Cedric walked into her room and smiled at the birthday princess.

Baileywick said cheerfully, "Happy birthday Princess Sofia." "Here is a gown that Madam Collette designed for you."

Cedric said, "Happy birthday my apprentice."

Sofia smiled, "Thank you Baileywick and Mr Cedric." "Just before you leave I have something for you." "For the both of you."

Cedric and Baileywick turned to Sofia and exchanged confused looks to each other and turned back to Sofia.

Sofia started walking to her desk where their gifts were. Sofia turned back to Cedric and Baileywick.

Sofia said as she gave the gifts, "These are photo albums and I decorated them myself and I drew some of my favourite memories down since I've become princess." "Here's one for Baileywick and Mr Cedric." She said as she handed both of them one of the books. Baileywick's book colour was the same colour as his steward suit and Mr Cedric was the same colour as his robe and Sofia put some some magical dust on it to make it more Cedric than Sofia.

Baileywick thanked, "Thank you Sofia but there is no need to do this."

Cedric agreed, "Yes I agree."

Sofia shook her head and said, "You two have been my best friends since I became a princess. "Baileywick you helped in so many ways and you helped when I was struggling with my new life and help me get comfortable and get used to my royal life." "This is one way of thanking you for all the things you've done for me." "Mr Cedric you helped so much as well and you also have helped me in so many ways." "Both of you have helped me so much over the years." "This is one of my way thanking you the both of you."

Cedric almost started crying with happy and sad tears. Baileywick felt the same way.

Cedric said, "But Princess we are older than you. How can we friends or best friends?"

Sofia chuckled, "There's no age limit to friends or best friends Mr Cedric."

Baileywick and Cedric hugged her tightly and then left her room.

Sofia wore the dress Madam Colette gave her for the day, until she had to wear the dress she chose for her birthday party tonight.

Sofia went downstairs for her birthday breakfast. Sofia sat down and got happy birthdays from all the maids and the castle staff.
