Today was thanksgiving and I was in such a bad mood, it wasn't the best mood for a holiday. But, I couldn't help it, everything had gone so wrong yesterday. Maya and Jake were still mad at me and I'm pretty sure they weren't on speaking terms either. Neither were Ryder and I, I was still pissed at him for doing what he did. Plus on top of all of this, I still worried about whoever it was sending those boxes.
"Octavia?" I looked up in the mirror seeing Ryder staring at me, he had bags underneath his eyes.
It made me feel a twinge of guilt for sleeping in Lily's room, "Yeah?" I asked, continuing to brush my damp hair.
He sighed, "Can we please talk?" he asked, his gaze burning into my skin.
"We are talking." I said. (gif)
I felt him next to me and met his eyes in the mirror, "You know what I mean." he leaned over, purposely brushing against me to grab his tooth brush.
I know what he was doing, he always does it. He does small things like this to make me laugh and break. So I could forgive him in my moment of weakness. But, it won't work this time, he shouldn't have been so impulsive.
After a second he was brushing his teeth while looking at me, "Stop looking at me." I mumbled, putting my brush away, he frowned and looked away.
I opened the cabinet to get my straightener for my hair out. As I did Ryder met my eyes again and I bit my lip, it wasn't working. We stood in silence for a couple seconds before he rinsed his mouth out, glancing to me. Just as he leaned over brushing his shoulder against my arm. I felt my lip twitch so I looked away.
He sighed and grabbed my jaw so I could look at him, "Don't be mad at me please?" he begged, I didn't meet his gaze, "It's Thanksgiving."
"Ryder." I turned to look at him, "What you did was wrong, you can't do things like that." I said, making him frown and withdraw his hand.
"Well I did, you can't stay mad at me forever." he smiled a bit, "Please." I sighed, about to cave in.
But, then I remembered Maya is mad at me and so is Jake, "Ryder no, not this time, Jake and Maya are both mad at me because, of you."
I seen his face fall a bit before he turned around and left the bathroom, "I'm going to go get Lily dressed."
When he left I felt so incredibly bad, but, it wasn't fair. He can't just blurt something out like that in the middle of a dinner. Cause a complete scene between Maya and Jake, my best friends. Then expect me not to be mad about it.
