"It's his fault, he deserves what he gets." Ryder stated, handing me some diapers.

I sighed, putting the diapers away in Lily's bag before zipping it up. It's been a couple days since the meeting with Luca. We still didn't have a lead but, we also haven't been getting anymore boxes. So we've just been trying to live in the moment until then. Meaning family, the gang, holidays that are coming up, which is why we're having a pre thanksgiving with the gang.

"When are you going to get over this?" I asked, shrugging the strap over my shoulder.

"When is he going to tell his wife what he did to mine!" he retorted, buckling Lily into her car seat and draping the light purple blanket over it.

Jake still hasn't told Maya what he did and Ryder still hasn't forgiven him yet. They barely speak as to how much they used to. It's all very tense between us three when we're together. Yet, we're still going to the gang house for dinner.

I just gave him a look and left the room, "Just come on."

"You are so lucky I have to carry Lily's car seat!" he shouted to me as I walked to the stairs, holding back a smile.

My mom, Ryder's mother and a few other women decided to cook tonight. They were doing the whole works. Lots of members were also here wanting to spend time together as well. Plus I've managed to keep the awkwardness between Ryder and Jake at a minimum. Maya is still absolutely clueless which is starting to mess with my heart, she needs to know.

"Octavia?"

I turned around, locking eyes with Beverley who had a soft smile on her face, "Can we talk?" she asked.

"Of course." I patted the empty stool next to me at the bar and she sat down, "What is it?" I questioned.

"In all honesty, I have no one to talk to yet." she murmured, I was surprised a bit by her statement.

"Have you not made any friends since you've been here?" I asked.

She shook her head, "Nope, other then you and Ryder."

"Well it does usually take time for them to start warming up, trust issues." I laughed a bit and she smiled, "You can talk to me though."

"Thank you." she stated gratefully.

"So I heard from Ryder, you don't really have anyone, what happened?" I gently asked, "If you don't mind telling me."

She shook her head, "I don't mind." her eyes met the wooden table, "My dad died." A look of sadness crossed her features and I reached across to hold her hand.
