The Present, 2017
I do not like stressful situations. At all.
I pull up outside some shady looking club in Itaewon, I bite my lip as I kill the engine and get out of my car. I sigh as I walk past the entry and into the alleyway, when I spot a slouched figure by the dumpster, I run towards him.
"Ji Yong-ssi," I stoop down when he groans softly, he barely opens his eyes and I quickly spot his dilated pupils.
I pick his phone off the ground and stuffs it in the pocket of my coat, "can you stand up?"
He just keeps looking at me with those dilated pupils of his but doesn't say anything, I don't even think he can form any sentences with the state that he's in right now. I place his arm over my shoulder then breathes in deeply, I groan loudly as I try to lift him off the ground.
"I can't do this."
I remove his arm then hold his face in both of my hands, his eyes still remains half-open and he's no longer groaning to himself.
"I'm sorry Ji Yong-ssi."
I close my eyes tightly as I swing my hand, when the sound of the my slap rings out in the alleyway, I then convince myself that I just did a necessary evil.
He groans in response to the pain and I sigh in relief, "Ji Yong-ssi? Can you hear me?"
Nothing.
"This is not how I expected my night to turn out," I hold on to his shoulders as I push his upper body off the dumpster, "I am not having fun."
I sigh heavily then with a small sigh I push both my index and middle fingers all the way in the back of his mouth, and his gag reflex triggers in no time. I bite my lip as he regurgitates whatever it is he ingested earlier that made him like this.
He groans painfully, "where?"
I place my arm around his shoulder once more, "you need to stand okay? Can you do that?"
He nods weakly and together we get off the ground, but that seemed like the easy part as I had to shoulder his weight as he tries to walk to my car. Getting him inside the backseat was the worse too, he bumped his head twice before finally seating himself in my car.
I sigh happily as I fasten his seatbelt, and before anyone could spot the celebrity I get in the driver's seat and speed off. I chew on my lip as many thoughts run through my mind, I should take him to a hospital, but that's out of the question at this point.
I could always call someone for him but then he probably did that already. Does he not have anyone by his side?
As soon as I stop by a traffic light I decide to call in a favour, I shouldn't involve him but I have no choice in the matter.
"This better be good."
Relief washes through my body as he picks up at the first ring, "I need you to do something for me."
I hit the gas pedal as the light changes to green.
"Now? I'm kinda busy catching up on my sleep."
I roll my eyes at that, "meet me at my place with two bags of saline," I hear rustling in the background.
"Where are you? Are you hurt?"
I check on my passenger as I glance at the rearview mirror, "I think a friend of mine almost overdosed or took something too strong. I have no idea what he took since he's slipping in and out of consciousness, so I need to flush his system."
