Waking up

Momo's POV

I fell into another void, but something was different this time. I had this feeling of pure dread following me. For a moment it figured this would be what it felt like to be in a horror movie, and this feeling increased when I turned around. This- this thing, was behind me, creeping ever closer. I held a hand over my mouth and ran. Of course, it was all darkness around me still and I had no idea where I was going, but I needed to get away. Soon enough, the scene changed again.

"Shoto..." I muttered, about to breakdown from the previous scare. To my surprise, he turned to face me, tears in his eyes. Running towards me, he collapsed in my arms. Only now did I realize where we were. It was so peaceful, soft and bright flowers surrounding us, pastel green grass under our feet.

"Please tell me it's you Momo.." Shoto murmured, his face hidden in the crook of my neck.

"It's me." I reassured him. He hugged me tighter and cried. I felt the darkness creeping in the seams and Shoto froze, apparently sensing it as well.

(Shoto, Momo, together)

"I'm at war with the world and they,

Try to pull me into the dark.

I struggle to find my faith,

As I'm slipping from your arms."

"It's getting harder to stay awake,

And my strength is fading fast.

As the last words left our lips, another rush of color hit me. Instead of contorting into another scene, I was rushed into a white light.
