Okay, this one is pretty short, but it's hard to do much with a 'country' (idk man) that lasted two and a half months. Also, it doesn't stick super close to the request simply because the request wasn't historically accurate for the most part.
Anyways, this was requested by idkidj so here ya go dude! Also, if you want to request a second thing, go right ahead, I know this oneshot is literal jackrabbit crap.

"I believe the land is mine!" "No it isn't! The Louisiana Purchase does not include West Florida, so that land is mine!" America and Spain stared at each other menacingly, neither wating to give up the land. America thought it was included in the Louisiana Purchase, ergo, it's his. Spain thought differently, saying that it wasn't a part of it.
Florida and Lousiana sat off to the side, not really knowing what to do. Neither were fully personified, but could summon enough power to tempoararily apear so to converse with others.
"So, a custody battle is essentially what this is." "Sounds about right Louisiana. Time to see where this goes. Hopefully no one gets badly hurt."
And so, for a few years, minor battles took place over border disputes near the area. Eventually, the people had enough and revolted, forming the small country of West Florida.
"Hi there...um, how are you?" Florida and Louisiana were, well, flabbergasted that West Florida was now his own country. However, his personification kept glitching because of the unrest in his land. "Um. Hey kid..."
West Florida stuck around for a few months, trying to make friends with his neighbors. His internal unrest, however, prevented him from doing so. Eventually, his whole 'being a country' thing got shut down, so his personification disappeared for the most part. Almost a decade later, though, his land and Florida proper were officially ceded into the United States. However, his land was given to Louisiana, so the two joke about the land and little country who occupied it being an actual custody battle
