Joining the British Intelligence was the best decision I'd made in quite a while.

It brings me to my present and my great life now.

I miss Logan, my father, my family, Joanna, everyone I've ever loved everyday, but I haven't seen them in years.

After I had joined the British Intelligence, I met someone.

He was ignorant and an asshole.

I absolutely hated him.

It was just a couple days in, during our introduction sessions.

I walked in the building with my eyes wide open. It was amazing. The floor was made from marble, the ceiling was almost thirty feet high and there were people everywhere wearing expensive suits.

I had decided I would wear one of my favourite suits, a nice navy blue with a net floral pattern on the flaps and collar and around the edges of the suit.

I found my way to the briefing room in which I met about fifteen other recruits who would be joining to be an agent of England.

I sat around the middle of the room, where a man in a grey suit sat. He wasn't wearing a fancy shirt, no, he was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. He only wore the blazer of the suit, which irked me. He was not professional at all.

He then stared at me from bottom to top, his eyes lingering on my chest for a bit too long.

"Did you know it's rude to stare at a woman?" I ask him bluntly.

"Did you know I have nothing so therefore I don't give two shits?" He smirked.

I frowned deeply.

Turning away from to take a deep breath, I said, "You don't want to pick a fight with me mate."

He chuckled. "Oh please, you're a woman, what are you going to do, slap me?"

That did it.

I turned to him and backhanded him right across his pretty face.

Yes he had a pretty face. He had blue eyes and dark brown hair, making his eyes stand out even more.

After slapping him, I knocked him down to the floor and locked his arms behind his back.

"You clearly have no idea who your fighting, do you, Kai?" A voice asked in humor from the door.

I let go of the man whom I'm sure is called Henry, and turn to the voice.

The voice belonged to our team leader, Henry Hawks. He strode to Henry and helped him up.

"Hey what's up Henry?" Kai joked.

I was shocked at the informality in his voice. He was our team leader, how dare he call him by his first name. It was as if they knew each other.

"Henry, we agreed you'd behave for once in your life." Henry sighed.

Kai then turned to me with a scowl. "Tell me Henry, who exactly is this?" He asked pointing to me.

"That would be Lyanna Dagger, heir to Dagger Industries, the most dangerous mafia in England."

Everyone in the room gasped. Kai's jaw was so wide open that it felt like it was touching the floor. I almost laugh but managed to keep a straight face when his face changed back to a scowl.

Then he smirked, crossed his arms and leaned in close to me. "So your the precious mafia princess joining the intel?"

"Yes, you gotta a problem with that?"
