Chapter 11

(Y/n)' P.O.V.

Oh gods.

Tomorrow is my birthday.

Tomorrow is the day I tell them. Tomorrow is the day I can find my mate.

I was pacing in my cabin right now. Everyone was currently at lunch.

Chiron said I should tell them at the campfire, after the birthday party.

But....

I was really scared.

When I tell them, I don't know how they are gonna react.

Will they start hating me? Will they except me? Or what?

I continued pacing.

But someone stopped me.

Someone put their hand on my shoulder, and I jumped from shock.

"Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." Nico said.

"It's fine." I said quietly.

"Are you ok?" Nico asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I assured him.

I could barely speak right now. Whenever Nico is around, my heart starts beating faster and I get really nervous.

Also whenever he touches me, small shocks go through my body.

"Why are you pacing then?" Nico snapped me out of my thoughts.

"It doesn't matter." I told him.

"(Y/n)..."

"I said it doesn't matter! Ok?" I snapped.

I never snapped at Nico before.

I was as shocked as Nico right now.

I then did the only thing I could do.

I ran.

I ran out of my cabin to the woods.

I haven't let Myla out for awhile, so might as well do it now.

"Go back." Myla was telling me.

"Running isn't gonna do anything."

Do you want out or not?

"...Fine." Myla sighed.

I avoided Nico for the rest of the day, not wanting to face him.

Piper kept telling me I should talk to him, but I told her no.

I can't face him. Not after I snapped at him then ran.

I doubt Nico wanted to even see me.

After dinner, I went back to my cabin instead of going to the campfire.

I walked in and went to my bed.

I layed down. And before I knew, I was asleep.

Nico's P.O.V.

At the campfire, I tried to look for (y/n).

But she was nowhere to be seen.

I was kind of shocked when she snapped at me today, but I don't blame her.

She was stressing about something, but she wasn't telling me what she was stressing about.

I noticed her avoiding me today, so I just gave her some space.

But I wanted to find her now, so I can talk to her.

"Who ya looking for?" Jason asked.

"No one." I muttered.

"Come on! You can tell us! Is it (y/n)?" Percy asked.

I immediately blushed at her name.

"You are!" Jason shouted.

"Shut up." I grumbled.

"You like her, don't ya?" Percy smirked.

"No. I don't." I growled.

"Dude. Your blushing." Jason pointed out.

I tried to hide my face.

"So....when ya gonna tell her?" Percy wiggled his eyebrows.

"I don't even know if she feels the same!" I told them.

"I could get Piper to figure that out." Jason offered.

I just shrugged.

"What are you guys talking about?" The annoying voice of Leo Valdez asked.

"None of your business Valdez." I grumbled.

"Nico here likes (y/n)." Percy poked my cheek.

I grumbled a lot of colorful words.

"Wow Di Angelo! Didn't know you knew those kind of words." Leo laughed.

I glared at him, and Leo shut up.

"Dude! You can tell her at her party tomorrow!" Percy suggested.

"What?!" I nearly shouted.

"I think that's a good idea!" Leo and Jason agreed.

I didn't get a choice. The three boys started telling me how I should tell her and blah blah blah.

I was going to tell her tomorrow though. But I was just gonna do it my way.
