Ok full disclosure, I took way to long on this one, writers block was really eating me up.

Previously...

"*Sighs* Well....." Colt broke the silence. "That escalated quickly." He said facing his partner.

"And now you know why I loathe Weiss." Jack stated and walking off behind the girls.

He watched his best friend walk off, staring at him from behind "I think you're just using it as an excuse." Colt whispered only to himself, then deciding to follow the group and provide support, as far as they were concerned, they were far from finishing the initiation.

Present....

In another part of the forest, near the swamp section, Yang aimlessly trekked through the field. It had been some time since she had landed and has yet to find a partner of her own.

"Helloooooooo?" She called out.

"Is anyone out there? Helloooooooo?" She continued, hoping to find someone on the chance they would hear her.

"I'm getting bored here." She stops, throwing up her arms in frustration. 

She scanned the forest around her, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary. A sudden rustling of bushes off to the side caught her attention.

"Is someone there?" She approached place where the noise was coming from.

"Ruby is that you?" She pushed passed the thick bush to see who it was.

The snarling sound of a creature put away any one of those thoughts as she began to slowly look up at the giant beast that she was now confronted with. "Nope *Pop*"

The beast lunges forward attempting to swipe at the blonde with it's claw. Yang jump to the side avoiding the strike from the bear looking Grimm known as an Ursa. She turned back around to face it while activating her shotgun gauntlets Ember Celica. 

Another Ursa jumped out trying to catch her in surprise but she backflipped away from the attack. The two Ursa now stared her down, when the one that attacked her first decided to charge her again, but this time instead of jumping away like before, Yang pulled her arm back, cocking the shotgun shell into the chamber, then punched the charging Grimm square in the gut,  sending it flying as the shotgun round went off on impact.

The second Ursa also charged, avoiding the first as it went flying over it's head. It's attempt was futile as Yang sent a shotgun uppercut followed by midair kick to the stomach, using the force of her shotgun to propel her forward to land an even stronger kick.

"You guys wouldn't happen to have seen a girl in a red hood would you?" She casually asked, not even fazed by the fact that she was facing off against two opponents twice her size.

Both Ursai stood up, both giving a very load bear like growl to the brawler. Then one decided to charge her again. "You could just say no!" Yang continued to taunt them.

The charging Grimm took a big left down left swing at her, Yang dodged but the Grimm quickly went for a high right swing, intent on taking off her head. 

Yang leaned back performing another backflip to dodge, narrowly avoiding the strike . Quickly landing back on her feet she decided to keep on taunting the Grimm. "Geez you two couldn't hit the broadside of a ba..."
