Chapter 30

(Samie's POV)

"I just don't get why he doesn't like Professor Lupin. Professor Lupin is so kind and funny. How can you hate someone like him?"

"S, You know uncle Sev always has a reason for things he do."

"I know that D but It is really frustrating. Professor Lupin is also my godfather you know. And hearing dad insult him every chance he got, is really messing with my head."

"You probably shouldn't look into his action much Samie. Professor Snape hates almost everyone except us Slytherins and of coarse you." Pansy said

"Yeah probably." 

We have Care of Magical Creatures next. Hagrid is going to be teaching this year. I was okay with this. I really am not that close with Hagrid like my brother and his friends. 

"Come on now, come closer. Less talking if ye don't mind. I've got a real treat for you today. A great lesson so follow me." Hagrid said

We follow him into the forest bringing our flesh eating books. Okay I really respect Hagrid but really? A book who can rip you to shreds. How safe. 

"Alright you lot. Less chattering, form a group over there and open your books to page 49."

"Exactly how do we do that?" D asked

"Without getting mauled by it." I murmured to myself.

"You just stroke the spine of coarse." Hagrid stated in a as-a-matter-of-factly tone which made me a bit annoyed. 

We tried to stroke it and it worked. Neville as sweet as he can be did not listen and opened it. He fell and the book ripped his robes. 

"Don't be such a wimp Longbottom" D said

"I'm okay, I'm okay." Neville said to no one in particular.

I nudged him in the ribs, "Behave D. Just stroke the spine Neville. Try to listen next time so it won't happen again." I smiled at Neville. He blushed a bit.

"Malfoy and his squad are just prats." Harry said.

"What do you expect? He is a Slytherin." Ron said

"I think they're funny." Hermione said in her sarcastic tone

I was a bit irritated. I know D did was not good but he was just teasing. And there they are criticizing every Slytherin for the action of one person.

D looked at me and saw I was upset. I looked back at him and saw D got angry at the trio but masked it with his teasing demeanor.

"Oh yeah terribly funny. Really witty. God this place is going to the dogs. Wait until my father hears that Dumbledore got this oaf teaching classes."

The squad just laughed. My face was neutral and was trying very hard not to show my emotions like my dad's. I know what D said was really mean but I was really in no mood to scold him in front of the trio. 

"Shut up Malfoy." Harry said

The squad simultaneously ooohhed. D gave his bag to Crabbe and walked to Harry. I just stayed silent and watched the scene unfold.

D suddenly look past Harry, " Ooohh Dementor Dementor!!" He pointed

Harry and some people looked back and was scared.
