-Luz's pov-

I remember tripping and then falling everything after that was just black. When I opened my eyes I saw light, an symbol and how far I fell, I was surprised that I didn't die or break something, now noticing why. I had fallen on a bunch of flowers, it was really soft but I got up to look around, I saw only one way which lead down a hall like tunnel with an entrance that looked like it got sculpted. But then something else caught my eye, something shining golden in the sunlight. I followed the shine and saw an golden heart necklace with the letters "AB" in an really pretty fond carved into it. I decided to pick it up and turn it from side to side, investigating it.

After I did that for a while I carefully opened the heart and with a "klick" it snapped open revealing an picture of two girls and one boy, the boy and the older looking girl looked like they were twins, they had green hair, the girl had long braided hair and the boy had short hair. The other girl, which seemed to be their little sister, had chin long straight hair which was half put up in a ponytail, she seemed to have died her brown hair into two different shades of minty green since her routs were growing in. All of them had golden eyes, pretty pail skin and pointy ears which confirmed my theory of witches actually existing. 'they look happy' I thought.

I stared at it for a bit more when suddenly a blinding purplish pinkish light appeared making me close my eyes and put my arm over my eyes. When it stopped being as bright I took my arm away from my eyes and slowly opened my eyes. I was really surprised by what I saw, I saw a girl, but not just any girl, I saw the minty green haired girl from the picture, kneeling on the floor a bit in front of me.

We both just stared at each other awkwardly till I decided to say something.

"Um...Hi! I'm Luz Noceda and who are you?" I smiled like an idiot while she only blinked a few times. 'great! You made it more awkward Luz!' I thought but then she answered.

"I-I'm Amity. A-Amity Blight" She said looking down to the ground, her name explains the letters that were carved on the necklace.

"wait...what happened? The only thing I remember is trying to break the barrier then a bright flash..." she said as I sat down next to her. Then her eyes widened while she suddenly looked up at me "w-what date is it?!" She asked her voice slowly filling with panic.

After I told her the date she seemed like the world stopped spinning for her

"I-...I've been gone for 6 years?..." She mumbled still not moving in any way but blinking every now and then while I just looked at her confused. Then I remembered the tale that if a witch or monster tried to destroy the barrier it a curse would fall over them. I connected the dots in my head. The curse must be that she was stuck in this necklace. I put an hand on her shoulder to calm her which made her tense up for a second.

"hey it'll be ok." I told her rubbing up and down her arm for a bit. Her eyes softened and she looked to the side.

"But how? " She said after letting out a sigh. I thought for a bit putting my free hand to my face tapping my index finger against my cheek.

"I don't know yet but I'm sure we can do it!" I said giving her an confident and determent smile. She looked at me for an second then looked to the ground again.

"Just repeat after me. We can fix this together!" I said with a lot of determination behind my voice forming an fist with the hand that didn't lay on the witches shoulder.

"We can fix this together." The girl in front of me responded slowly looking up at me, gently smiling and rubbing the back of her neck.

"Well now that that's settled do you know anything about the curse?" I asked hoping she would but to our disadvantage she shook her head. I just sighed and took my hand off of her shoulder, missing the warmth of her shoulder and the softness of her sleeve already, put the necklace around my neck also stuffing it into my shirt and stood up, brushing the dirt of the floor off of my clothes and legs before reaching my hand out for her to grab and stand up which she gladly took slowly standing up being a bit unsafe on her legs.
