Chapter 13: Saving Lucius and Two Curses At Once

Hey everyone, sorry for the delayed update! Had a bit of writers block! Anywayyyss this is Part 2 of Saving Lucius and Two Curses At Once… Hope you enjoy :)

Draco watched in horror as Hermione suddenly stopped moving and screaming; she was unconscious.

“NO! Hermione! No please no!” Draco cried dropping down beside her bloodied body.

“Pathetic and disgusting.” Rodolphus growled as he watched the young wizard drop next to the Mudblood. He raised his wand and sent a silent Cruciatus towards Draco.

Immediately Draco was lying on the floor thrashing in pain. Narcissa watched as her son was tortured unsure of what to do. Lucius began to raise his wand towards Rodolphus but before he could cast a killing spell Aurors rushed into the room.

They quickly stunned Rodolphus and gathered the death eaters wands before making sure they were securely tied up. One of the Aurors took a look at Lucius, realized who he was, and then raised his wand to curse him.

“No don’t!” Harry exclaimed from his position next to Ginny, “He hasn’t done anything but help us.”

The Auror, named Nateara (Na-Tear-Uh), turned to face Harry, “We received word that he is the one who kidnapped Miss Granger. He must be taken in.” she said returning her gaze to Lucius.

Harry opened his mouth to say something but Lucius motioned for him not to speak. “I’ll go.” He said walking over to the Auror.

Blaise rushed over to where Hermione and Draco lay on the cold wood floor. “Draco, can you hear me mate?” he asked shaking his friends’ shoulders lightly.

“Ow!” Draco rasped pushing himself up onto his elbows, “What’s going on?”

“The Aurors came just as Rodolphus put a Cruciatus curse on you… they’re arresting the death eaters and your dad.” Blaise said helping Draco to his feet making sure he could stand before letting go.

Draco looked down and saw a body on the ground. Hermione.

“Hermione!” he exclaimed dropping down again. “We’ve got to get her to St. Mungo’s!” Draco said brushing a piece of her hair away from her bloodied face.

Ginny hurried forward and conjured a stretcher then carefully levitated Hermione up onto it. “We’ve got to hurry; she’s lost a lot of blood already.” Ginny called over to Harry.

Grapping each other’s hands they apparated to the wizard hospital. “Somebody help!” Ginny yelled as soon as their feet were firmly on the floor.

Nurses looked up and saw the group with the young witch on the stretcher and rushed forward. One nurse took hold of it and pulled it behind her rushing into the critical wing of the hospital. Another nurse steered them over to a waiting area before speaking.

“You can’t go in there, you have to wait here. We will let you know as soon as we know something.” Nurse Tara explained and then hurried after the first nurse, Nurse Alexia. The four of them nodded and sat down to wait.

Two hours went by and Draco was becoming restless not knowing how Hermione was doing or if she was even alive. Just as he decided to get up to find out, Nurse Alexia entered the room with a chart.

“You four are here for Hermione Granger, correct?” she asked scanning over her chart.

“Yes we are. How is she? Is she okay? Has she woken up yet?” Draco asked in a hurry standing up with the others.

The nurse gave him a sympathetic look then answered, “She is awake, but she is very very weak. We’ve never had a patient come in having been hit with those two spells at once… it is a very deadly combination. She was already in danger from the Sectumsempra and when she was crucio’d at the same time it made everything worse. Apparently while she thrashed in pain she broke 2 ribs and made the bleeding from the sectum curse much worse.” Nurse Alexia explained.
