The atmosphere around me was shining in morning glory, like a bloom of golden sunflowers. It was enshrouded with mist in slow motion. I stared ahead at the nothingness beyond the path. My eyes were fuzzy, my memories were erased. What was this place? Time seemed irrelevant. Almost nonexistent. I stood there over and over. Not knowing how long had past or when it even began. A ghastly stream wrapped itself around my arms. Once it locked its grip, it pulled me away from my stance.

We walked together in the shimmerous rays, beaming creamy yellows. Puffs of pollen and dandelions danced in the air, swirling in the silent winds. My body couldn't feel the sensation, but in my mind I knew it was there. A figure developed, as we drew near. The figure transformed into a little boy. He was sitting on the ground, with his arms wrapped around his knees. His hair dangled over his eyes, hiding its true nature. The air that surrounded his presence, felt heavy and icy like a blizzard debuting. The eirry force that served as my guide, erased itself from current scene. It was just us two alone in this blank space.

"What's wrong?" I asked the kid,
"No one wants to play with me," he replied.
"Who? I don't see anyone here?"
"That's how it's always been," he mumbled.

He began to to tuck his face into his knees, hiding his watery eyes. The pressure increased, weighing my shoulders down. The air in agreement, crystallized, allowing my breath to take form.

"Um, I could play with you?" I answered.
"But what are we going to do? Like you said there's nothing," he cried
"Well we could sit here and talk?" As I seated myself on the empty landscape.
"What's your favorite color?" I asked.
"I like red because it reminds me of someone special,"
"Oh really I like red too."

As we kept talking, I found out we had a lot of common interests. The gloomy world we could see, gradually became warmer. The gray sky evolved, shining bright blue with ever clear, clouds. I felt warmer and lighter too. The aura around us became gentle, it was refreshing. I was too captivated, watching the beauty unfold before me, that I didn't even glance at the kid. He still had yet to show me his true face.

"I don't mean to be rude, but I don't even know your name," I admitted.
"Oh it's um.....Rocky" he whispered.
"Rocky?"
"Yeah..." he began to blush.
"That's a pretty cool name!" I chimed. "So how did you end up here Rocky?"

He proceeded to tell me that he wasn't sure how he got here. The last thing he remembered was his friend. Rocky's eyes lit up as he told his perspective. They were playing together at a playground. He said it was fun. They were high on life, feeling the true joys of childhood. Precious memories he had held on to very dearly. His story contained giddy spurts of imagination. Every word rolled of his tongue fluently. It made me want to join them in their adventure as well. For a second Rocky forgot about the loneliness that ate at him. He was like a new person. I wished I hadn't noticed because he realized the past events. They were over. He paused, sitting there in abrupt silence.

"Then everything went black..." he dejected.

I attempted to comfort him, but my chance was cut off. The ground rumbled, shaking wildly. Rocky looked terrified, his eyes profusely radiating fear. We were immobilized by the tremors, making it impossible to counteract. I couldn't tell if whether my heart was pounding too hard or if there was even a pulse at all. The power of earthquake wrecked havoc, not giving any leeway. It scared me so much, not being able to do anything. The tears overflowed from my eyes. It was too much. The capacity of all this overwhelmed me.

I felt a sudden squeeze on my hand. Rocky's fingers wrapped around my palm, producing pressure. It was strong enough to help me regain my composure. He looked into my eyes, mouthing something. The earthquake canceled all the noise in its territory. The boy's inaudible words comforted me in a way. A while ago he was helpless, yet now he was able to make me feel safe in this moment. He grabbed me as the rubble beneath us tore open. The entire world collapsed, taking us with it. We fell until we were no more.

When I came to, my body felt lifeless and heavy. I felt something kick against my side repeatedly. An older boy stood above, glaring down at me.

"Hey can you cut that out. Where's Rocky?" I asked.
"You shouldn't worry about him, worry about yourself first," he scoffed.

His eyebrows pointed down, revealing the scrunches on his nose. He pursed his lips together, creating a smile, but it wasn't an endearing one. The contempt and disgust fumed off his body. I was confused as to why he hated me so I asked again.

"Where's Rocky?"
"You should know. Since you took him!" He growled.
"I don't understand..."
"He wasn't yours!! He was never yours to take!"
He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, lifting me slightly off the ground. Great clouds gathered around, swirling like a vortex. They shot rain like bullets at us, pelting with hard drops. The boy looked at me, his eyes exemplified rage.
"You're going to pay for this!" He shouted.
The rain was absorbed as waterfalls fled the cloud haven. With its almighty force it piled up on each other, flooding the space. The ocean was forming from the heavens and soon we'd be at the bottom of it.
"Let me go! Please!!" I begged.
But the older boy wouldn't budge. I kicked and jerked. To no avail had my attempts worked. The water rose steadily, climbing to my neck. I pleaded with my eyes as the tears quickly became one with the ocean. It was no use. His gaze remained unchanged under the water. I gasped for my last breath. Bubbles elevated, leaving my trapped body. I couldn't breathe. As the waters extended further up, the light faded. In this darkness, there was no air. Water filled my lungs, it was going to take me.

"Idate! Wake up! It's time to get up!"

I opened my eyes, cold sweat covered my entire body.

"Are you okay? Why are you breathing so hard?"
"I'm okay grandma."
"I'm glad to hear that Sonny boy."

I had bandages on my leg and one on my forehead. She told me I slept all night after my fall. She then left the room to go get me breakfast. I stared at the clock. It was only six o'clock in the morning. By the desk, laid the Red Ranger, like nothing occurred at all. I felt uneasy at what I experienced. I had only hoped that this dream would be a one time thing, but something is telling me that it'll happen again soon enough.
