The New Beginning

Chapter 2

As everyone is leaving I walk up to Percy and smile. He smiles back and I laugh.

"I'll be in the common room in a few moments I need to speak with my uncle and the new professor"

"Be quick, its almost bedtime"

"Ok ok"

I walk back into there and I see the professors talking. I walk up to my uncle and I smile, he talking to the new professor.

"Hello professor Lupin, uncle Snape."

"Hello Alexis"

The professor looks at me and smiles

"How are you feeling"

"Good actually, thank you for that. I hope you like it here at hogwarts."

"I wanted to know if I could speak to you alone."

"Umm sure..."

I look at my uncle and smile, he looks between us and groans. He walks away and I face the professor.

"Have I met you"

"Excuse me"

"It's just that I knew you're name before meeting you on that train. I just wanted to know if we've meet before that's."

"I'm sorry, I don't think we have. Maybe you've seen my picture somewhere."

"No I don't think that's it, I've definitely met you before."

"Well I'm sorry I don't remember it."

He smiles at me and walks away, I frown and quickly make it back to common room.

I'm sitting in class and I'm looking at the crazy dressed teacher. I'm sitting next to malfoy and I growl.

"Rosewood"

I slowly look over at him and frown, he leans in to whisper.

"How have you been since the summer."

Over the summer we sent letters talking about our rivals. I wouldn't consider us friends but we're not enemies anymore. I helped him get away from his father while he helped me with my breakup.

"I've been good, how have you been since you left the manor."

"Father is still annoying but I love my mother. She wanted me to tell you she misses you, she actually liked you."

"Well I'm glad but if she or you're family every attack or hurt mine I will do something about it. I don't consider us friends, we helped each other and that's it."

The teacher starts talking and I turn to face her.

"Welcome, my children.In this room, you shall explore the noble art of Divination. In this room, you shall discover if you possess the Sight."

The teacher stands and goes to walk but she hits the table.Girls start to giggle and I roll my eyes at them.

"Hello. I am Professor Trelawney.Together we shall cast ourselves into the future."

She holds up her hands and I smile at her.

"This term, we'll focus on Tasseomancy, the art of reading tea leaves. So please, take the cup of the person sitting opposite you."

I grab dracos while he grabs mine, I look into it.

"What do you see?"

She starts walking around as she talks.

"The truth lies buried like a sentence deep within a book, waiting to be read. But first, you must broaden your minds."

She touches a boys head and I smile, she keeps walking.
