"Shit." I yelled as a car splashed me with a puddle, soaking my black jeans and t shirt. I huffed and pulled my coat out of my bag.

"Awe, I was gonna be cute and give you my coat." The guy pouted, his red flannel already soaked and his jacket was in his arms, ready to be worn.

"I don't even know your name." I chuckled, pulling the hood out and covering my head. My brown hair was now fading into a dark black as the water soaked into it, leaving my head cold.

"Tyler." He answered.

"What?"

"My name." He chuckled. "It's Tyler, and yours?"

"Nevaeh." I responded curtly.

"So like, heaven backwards?" He asked with scrunched up eyebrows.

"Exactly! I'm glad you caught on, I was worried there for a second." I joked, opening the front door of the cozy little restaurant.

"No need to get sassy, Ms. Heaven."

I chuckled at his serious tone and found an empty booth and sliding Into a seet. Tyler sat in front of me, his fingers laced together and his eyes dancing with curiousity.

"What?" I asked, grabbing one of the menus and scanning over it.

"You look oddly familiar, like... Melanie Martinez or something." Tyler mumbled, looking down at the menu in his rather large, hands.

"I can assure you, an no where near Melanie Martinez." I chuckled.

"Well, you're just as attractive and maybe even more." He flirted with a wink.

"I thought you weren't going to hit on me! Liar! I don't think I can trust you again." I joked, crossing my arms over my chest and huffing.

"Awe, but we had something going on here, and I was just telling the the truth! Don't you wanna like, move on from your ex boyfriend or something? I can help." He suggested.

"You wanna be a rebound?" I quieted an eyebrow.

He shrugged. "You could say it like that yeah, I kinda need to move on too. This blonde chick kinda fucked me up."

"Blonde chick? Sounds like a quicky if you ask me."

"No, her name was Aliesha, like McDonald or something? She never really told me her last name, but well, she basically used me." He explsined, his eyes flashing a different emotion as he shrugged again.

Aliesha McDonald? Where have I heard that name...

"I would call her a bitch but I don't know her. My ex boyfriend... he's a long story...." I chuckled.

"We've got time." A smile kissed his face and he grabbed one of my hands. It wasn't flirty, at all, it was more of a comforting reminder that he was here for me, and whether I liked it or not, it made me loath for Luke more.
