Chapter 10

My parents and I stayed at Ellen's studio for awhile like we were instructed. Every time I try and think about something, my mind goes back to Harry. Should I call him? Texting would be easier, but what do I say? 'Hello, this is Haley.' No. That is pathetic. Maybe just 'hey' and hope he knows that it is me? I need to stop before I do something stupid and make a fool out of myself.

Ellen got us a driver to take us to the airport. We didn't get to ride in the limo again because that would be too obvious. It was just a normal car, even though I was a little disappointed, the last thing I need is to be stuck in another mob. But the thought of Harry saving me again made my heart rate spike.

The whole flight home consisted of me looking out the window with my headphones in. I took out my phone and opened up a new message. 'This is Haley' I typed and added Harry's number before hitting the green send button. It happened so fast that I didn't have time to panic and delete it before sending it.

My phone instantly buzzed. I quickly looked down to read the message. I had butterflies in my stomach and I clicked the round button at the bottom of the phone to make the screen light up.

It was Carrie.

'When will you be home' it read.

'I am on the plane now, hopefully a few hours I want to kill someone. We have so much to talk about' I responded.

'Good, I have something I need to tell you too'

'I will text you when I get home and you can come over' I said before putting my phone in my lap.

I miss her so much. She is the one person I can tell everything to. We have been best friends for four years and I couldn't think about how pathetic my life would be without her in it. We do pretty much everything together and we are the same person. We hate the same people, think the same guys are attractive, even have similar hobbies. I need to tell someone about Harry and she is the only person who will listen.

After the long flight had landed, we got our bags and headed home. I can honestly say that I have never been more excited to just relax for a few days. Because I flew across the country a day after leaving the hospital, I have to go back for an appointment tomorrow to make sure I am still healthy enough to go to school in a few weeks. I am still shocked that my doctor let me go in the first place.

My neck is healed and the scar is bright pink. I hate how the only way I can cover it, is with a scarf. Why couldn't it have been a few inches lower so my shirt would have taken care of my insecurities. The scar that is beginning to form on my ribs, still has a few stitches left to fall out. I hate that it is taking longer to heal, because it is much more painful then the one on my neck.

I texted Carrie to come over so I can see her and tell her everything. I am sure she has some things she wants to talk about as well. I unpacked my suitcase until I heard the doorbell ring. I walked downstairs to open the door. She was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt which is perfect because I don't look good myself.

"Okay you have to explain everything" She said as we made our way up to my bedroom. I closed the door behind us so my parents wouldn't bother us.

"I met Harry Styles" I said.

"Yeah, I watched Ellen idiot" She said in a playful tone.

"He was being weird towards me off the camera. One second he would be angry with me, the next we are talking again. He basically saved me from a panic attack when I got mobbed..."

"You were mobbed? When? Where?" She said before I could finish.

"The next day, when we were shopping" I said "But that isn't important. What is important is that he gave my his phone number and he hasn't responded to my text that I sent hours ago"

"Calm, down. He is a busy guy. He wouldn't just give you his number then not respond." She said making perfect sense.

"I guess, so what do I do?"

"Wait longer, and if he doesn't respond, he doesn't respond."

"Okay I guess you're right. I really hope that he does though. But enough about me, you said you had something to tell me?" I said hoping it is exciting.

"I do!" She said giving my a huge smile.

"SPILL!"

"Okay, so when you were gone, a new kid came to our school! He is an exchange student from Ireland and is very good looking. We have three or four classes together and he sits right next to me in two of them and his locker is four down from mine. Long story short, I have been talking to him 24/7 and he asked to go get some lunch tomorrow!" She said pulling out her phone "He also has the cutest accent so I just like to ask him random questions just to hear him talk. I also love every outfit he wears to school and he smells really good and UGH! He is perfect"

"What does he look like! Show me a picture!"

She pulled up a picture of a blonde haired boy with blue eyes. She was right, he is very good looking and does dress very well. In the picture, he was wearing a snapback, a white t-shirt and a denim shirt over it that was not buttoned, and a pair of black skinny jeans.

"What is his name?" I asked her.

"Niall Horan"
