Part 30

**Mew's POV**

** Two Month Later**

I struggle to open my eyes as everything hurts and I can feel pain in all directions.

I groan as I finally get my eyes open to look around.

Where am I?

I look down to see Gulf curled against my bed side snoring away.

I'm glad at least one thing hasn't changed...

That's when I start to remember what happened and now I just feel sick. I try to nudge Gulfs arm with my hand until I realize there's a cast on it.

Shit...

Tapping Gulf with my cast, I wait for him to stir.

He mumbles in his sleep being adorable like usual but I don't have the time for that right now.

I need to know what happened...

Mew: "Gulf? Gulf wake up."

He does a few more mumbles but doesn't actually wake.

I rest my head against the pillow and sigh. This could be a really long day. How long have I been asleep anyways?

Hopefully only a few days...

I hope Kaownah is okay, I tried to get there in time but it just wasn't enough... I remember him trying to move me out of the way and then I got hit by the truck...

Didn't he try to say something to me?

As I'm lying there feeling frustrated as fuck, Perth walks in quietly after some time and looks like absolute hell.

Maybe Kaownah isn't doing so well...

Perth: He sees that I'm awake and starts to get a small smile and a look of relief. "Hey man, you had me scared for a second there. How are you feeling?"

Mew: I look down at Gulf to make sure he's still sleeping peacefully and look back up at Perth. "I'm alive, everything hurts like a bitch though." I point at Gulf. "How often does he do that?"

Perth: He rubs the back of his head with a sad smile. "He's been sleeping by your side every day since you've been in here. Well except the first night, he helped me calm down and then came back the next morning. The nurse didn't realize that he was your partner so she originally kept trying to kick him out. He's a stubborn one that's for sure."

Mew: "Poor Gulf... How long have I been here for exactly?"

Perth: He hesitates and looks away. "Are you sure you want to know that?"

I couldn't have been asleep that long...

Mew: I nod my head and hold my breath. "I want to know."

Perth: He goes to sit down in the chair next to Gulfs. "You've been in a medically induced coma for two months. When you first came in they didn't see that you had also hit your head along with your many injury's and they didn't want your brain to swell. So they decided to put you under while they did all your surgeries and then kept you under until your vitals seemed normal enough and then it looks like it took you 3 days to actually wake up from it." His voice starts to break as he looks down at his hands. "Mew I'm so happy your awake right now... You have no idea how much I need you..."

Mew: "I'm here Perth..."

Two months?...

I've been asleep for two fucking months!?!

I look over at Gulf and feel Like crying.

Oh Gulf... I'm so sorry for putting you through this. I wanted to come home to you, I really did... I just saw Kaownah and I needed to help.
