Part 39

** Off's POV**

Today's training wasn't as bad as most days. I only had a few students show up which was surprising but I'm also kind of glad.

There was something I wanted to do for Gun today. He's supposed to be meeting me at home around 4 but I actually get off of work at 1.

You see after Kaownah died, I thought I was going to be okay and I was for the first few months but once time went by it got worse not better. I resorted to pushing Gun away and that was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I wasted 3 years of my life sad, alone and wallowing. After that I didn't think I was going to be happy ever again because Gun disappeared after the first year. He transferred to a different school and I didn't know how to apologize.

You have no idea how happy I was to run into him at that café by his school. After he finally forgave me, we decided to stop contacting Gulf and Mew because it just brought me pain. Thankfully Perth dropped contact from everyone so I didn't really have to remember him as much. 

It's just that Mew got better after the accident and it dawned on me that he was still on this earth injury free while Kaownah was stuck in the ground for the rest of his life. I just didn't think that was fair. I feel bad because in the midst of blocking everyone out I had to leave Gulf too and that hurt the worst but overall I was better off in the end...

Once things got better between Gun and I, we tried to find ways to calm my anger. So I decided to open up a dojo. It helped me release my anger and I helped others too. 

I actually really enjoy my job a lot more than I thought I would.

As my last student walked out of the building, I followed behind him and locked the doors. Heading to my office I check my phone and smile.

Perfect!!

Grabbing my things, I walk out of the back door and finish locking up before heading to my car.

Now I just need to make it to the shop in time and then hurry home to make sure everything is ready in time.

As I make my way to the shop, I think about all the stuff we've been through and honestly I can't imagine myself with anyone else but Gun. He really is my other half.

Once I got there, I couldn't help but grin.

I'm so excited!!

I walk into the shop as the bell dings.

Owner: He sees me come in as he's standing behind the counter and starts to grin. "Hey your back just in time too. I just finished it about 10 minutes ago, I'm sure he's going to love it."

Off: I walk up to the counter and shake his hand. "Can I see it before I pay?"

Owner: Pulling out a box from under the counter. "Of course, I never want a customer to leave unsatisfied."

I lean on the counter and look at the box as he open's it. Resting in the box was a black band with tiny dark blue diamonds around it. 

Manly but cute, just like Gun...

Off: I close the box and put it in my pocket as I slide him the money. "Thank you so much, its perfect."

Owner: He counts the money and looks up at me once he was finished. "Any time, if you ever have any other projects just let me know."

Off: I start to walk out feeling satisfied. "You'll be the first I call."

As im driving home all I can think about is if Gun will like the surprise, I really hope he does.
