Aldrin's pov
I picked the girl up and carry her back to the cabin. I lay her on the bed and cover her up, tucking a strand of brown hair behind her ear I let a smile form on my face.
I probably look like a monster to her, after killing that man right in front of her. But he deserved it, all in all, so I don't see any wrong in it. He was going to hurt her really bad, if not kill her.
I turn to walk away when a small hand grips my fingers, a smile tugs at my lips as the soft whimpers rise to my ears.
The girl tugs on my hand lightly as she sleeps, I pull my hand from her grip and I walk out of the cabin. Pulling out my phone, I quickly dial a number and press the phone to my ear.
A sweet voice echoes from the phone, "Ally, what do you want?"
I smile and tilt my head back before responding, "It seems I may have adopted a teen girl. I don't know what her species is but depending on how the man was able to beat her and hold her down, I'm gonna say she is just a human."
The sweet voice remains quiet for a few moments, "..."
I sigh, "Rosie..."
"Ally... get rid of it or the coven will get rid of it. "
I smile and shake my head, "Rosie, I already promised her I would protect her."
Rosie hisses at me through the phone, "Then break the promise Ally! How can you be stupid enough to even promise such a low creature!"
"Rosie...its not that simple. You didn't see the way she looked at me," I clench my fist as I remember the way she had looked at me, "as if I was the same as that man."
"Ally, I don't care if you have to become like that man...I don't want you dead."
The line goes dead as Rosie hangs up on me. I sigh and shove the phone back in my pocket and sit with my back against the door. I won't get rid of her. She is only a young girl.
I run my hands through my hair and bury my face in my knees. A knot forms in my stomach as I glance up and see the figure I was dreading to see.
As the figure steps closer, I can see the blonde pixie bob cut and blazing hazel eyes. Alice.
Alice glares at me and saunters over. Stopping right in front of me, "Al, what the hell dude?! Rose just texted me that you have a teen HUMAN girl in there! Al, you know we can't do that!"
The words went in my ear bounced around the inside of my skull for a moment and then went right back out the other ear, before I finally responded, "Alice, I'm not doing anything. All I did was save a girl. It's not like I'm gonna bite her and turn her or drain her. For Marcus's sake."
Alice eyes darken at the name, seeing as it's our leader's name I probably shouldn't have said it, "Al, what the hell is wrong with you?" Alice shoves me backwards and bares her fangs, "Don't use the leader's name like that, you dimwit!"
I sigh and lower my head. Pushing Alice back, I straighten myself, "I know you are worried, but I'm not doing anything. I'll be careful. I'll stay safe. I don't need you guys worrying about me, okay? Especially my sister, Rosie, she will blame the girl."
Alice nods slowly as she watches me, "Aldrin. If you get in trouble because of that girl, Rosie will be the least of her problems."
"I won't. "
Seeming satisfied with her threats, she turns to walk away.
Halfway out of my hearing range, she turns back and yells, "Rose will probably be by tomorrow to see what makes you want to keep the girl!"
I sigh and wave at the female vampire that grew up with Akron, Rosie, and I. I turn and open the door to the cabin and step in. I lock the door and lay down on the couch, drifting in and out of sleep.
